Isaiah’s End-time Timeline Chapter 61

THE ORDER OF THE BOOK OF REVELATION

Luke 4:18-19, Hebrews 10:5-13, 30; Isaiah 26:20-21, Revelation 11:15

ISAIAH 61  A Summary of the Order of the Book of Revelation/The Significance of the Atonement of Jesus Christ and How the Blowing of the Last Trump Announces the Marriage Supper of the Lamb, the Day of Vengeance of Our God, and the Future Year of Jubilee…..

Isaiah 61…Verse 1: “The Spirit of the Lord God is upon me.…” see also Luke 4:18, 19. He came as the Christ, conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of a virgin woman… “to proclaim the acceptable year of the Lord….” And in that 3 ½ years of anointed ministry, He prepared for Himself a faultless body; for a once and forever offering for sin. [Hebrews 10:5-13] Therein to establish Eternal Atonement for His covenant people, (Romans 9:4,5) and all mankind. He then “…sat down on the right hand of God…till his enemies be made his footstool.” And now proclaims, through His witnesses, that determined means by which, and the determined time wherein; mercy and grace may be extended and appropriated by mankind. And that for the calling out of a people for His Name (Acts 15:14), especially sanctified (1st Peter 2:9,10); through that Offering of His own Blood.

Now after 2000 years that proclaiming of the acceptable year of the Lord has passed, (Hebrews 10:30, Matthew 24:27-30, Revelation 19:11-18, 20:9-12) that most holy and terrible Day; typical of “the day of atonement” (Leviticus 16) has arrived. That Day; the conceptions embodied in that sin offering obtain their most complete development; the anti-type being the Second Coming of Jesus Christ. That is “….. the day of vengeance of our God.” [Isaiah 11:11 with 26:20,21 30:27,28,30-33]

But as we look into the prophetic words, let us also see that in “the atonement day” type set before us, wherein the people of Israel were to afflict their souls in penitence for sin, is also the same Day in which the culmination of the sabbatic years unto the year of Jubilee is declared. On that day, they both began when the high priest came out from within the most holy place, where from the time of his offering the sin-offering, he has been hidden from the sight of the people, for a time, then he appearing, both were pronounced with trumpet blast!

And then all that which is encompassed in that sounding Trump is closely followed by the Great Feast of Tabernacles. Wherein points us also in that anti-type to the Millennial sabbatism (Hebrews 4:9) “…that remaineth to the people of God.” Therein we find temporary and partial suspension of the curse of God, the special promise of sufficiency without exhausting labor, and righteous and just living for His people. Seen in all the following words of Isaiah 61 starting in 2b…  “to comfort all that mourn; To appoint unto them that mourn in Zion, to give unto them beauty for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness; that they might be called trees of righteousness, the planting of the Lord, that he might be glorified.”

The Seventh Trump of Revelation is the last Trump and is the one implied in Isaiah 61. It’s both the sound of the Trump of the day of Vengeance of our God, and of the Jubilee; in the setting of the captive free. [Leviticus 25:9 with Revelation 11:15] The sounding of this Last Trump is also the proclaiming that the King is Coming. As the power and authority over this World is now transferred to Him and the ones He chooses. It is now the Kingdom of the heavens being set over satan and his kingdom nations against their will. Jesus, the Anointed One, the Lamb of God, now  “..the Lion of the tribe of Judah, the Root of David hath prevailed to open the book, and to loose the seven seals thereof.” As it is time for His enemies to be made His footstool, as He takes His rightful Throne. [Revelation 3:21] “Worthy is the Lamb that was slain to receive power…” [Revelation 5] It is time He “….put down the mighty from their seats, and exalted them of low degree.” [Luke 1:52, Hebrews 2:5,6, Revelation 12:9, 20:2,3,10]

The Last Trump follows the first 2 woes, (Revelation 11:14) and just precedes the 3^rd woe; that of the Vials. [Revelation 15:1-16:21] The 7th Trump’s sounding period follows the breaking of 7 seals and 6 other Trumpets sounding; and begins toward the end of the Great Tribulation. The earth begins to see its prophetic impact immediately. (Although its crescendo is not reached for long period of time, as its consequences extend over 1000 years, until finally the earth be burnt up and the destroyers be finally destroyed.)

THE RESULTS OF THE 7^TH TRUMPET SOUNDING

“And the seventh angel sounded; and there were great voices in heaven, saying, the kingdoms of this world are become the kingdoms of our Lord, and of his Christ; and he shall reign forever and ever. And the four and twenty elders, which sat before God on their seats, fell upon their faces, and worshipped God, Saying, We give thee thanks, O Lord God Almighty, which art, and wast, and art to come; because (1) thou hast taken to thee thy great power, and (2) hast  reigned (and/or begun to reign). (3) And the nations were angry, (4) and thy wrath is come,(5) and the time of the dead, that they should be judged, (6) and that thou shouldest give reward unto thy servants the prophets, and to the saints, and them that fear thy name, small and great; (7) and shouldest destroy them which destroy the earth.” [Revelation 11:15-18]

(After these words describing the 7^th Trump, chapters 12-14 are interposed /parenthetically inserted, and are relating events starting at about the 3 ½ year or so mark into the Tribulation where some key events of the Great Tribulation leading up to the 7^th Trump are described in more detail. That which happens over the following 3 years or so period just prior to the sounding of the 7^th Trump, wherein the remainder of 6 months or so of the Great Tribulation shall be played out.)

The Seventh Trump is an announcement: That the King has come in power and militarily has come to destroy the destroyers and in the descriptive words of Isaiah: To now give “liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to them that are bound.…” The King desires a Consort, the First- Fruits offering and the Harvest with the First Resurrection which has finally come!

Jesus’ manifesting His Power over the unrepentant enemies of God begins to be manifest at the sounding of the 7th Trump, the third and final Woe; that is the 7 Vials. Then Chapters 15 and 16 of Revelation relate each of the first 6 Vials being poured out and their consequences. Then the 7^th vial is poured out and the Great Babylon has been destroyed. [Revelation 16:17-21] (Then there is the interposition of chapters 17 & 18; which just gives further detail on the destruction of Babylon the Great.)

Then after the interpositions of Revelation chapters 12-14 and 17 & 18, we are picking back up with the description of what is happening in the heavens again in Revelation chapter 19:1-21 (which is a continuation of chapter 11:15-18) wherein we discover the fulfilling of Isaiah’s words, first in the heaven associated with this World [Verses 1-9] and then quickly following on the earth. [Verses 11-21] Together the heavens and earth rejoice: “I will greatly rejoice in the Lord, my soul shall be joyful in my God; for he hath clothed me with the garments of salvation, he hath covered me with the robe of righteousness as a bridegroom decketh himself with ornaments, and as bride adorneth herself with her jewels. For as the earth bringeth forth her bud, and as the garden causeth the things that are sown in t to spring forth: so the Lord God will cause righteousness and praise to spring forth before all the nations.”

The Lord has already descended as far as the clouds of the first heavens; like or as a thief, (Revelation 3:3, with Revelation 12:5 & 14:4, Revelation 14:15,16, and Revelation 16:15) and has taken up to Himself those who were looking for Him in the fullness of Hebrews 9:28; that gathering up of the First-Fruits and the Harvest. And now the demonic forces are gathering the forces of the Beast for the last battle, that of His 2^nd Coming at Armageddon.  [Revelation 16:13-16] All the while the Consort of Jesus Christ is being joined together in marriage, that she also may partake of His to-be manifested glory upon the earth. (“When Christ, who is our life, shall appear, then shall ye also appear with him in glory.” [Revelation 19:14, Colossians 3:4, 1 John 3:2,3] “He (then) shall see of the travail of his soul, (His consort) and shall be satisfied.…” [Isaiah 53:11]

For the sanctified Bride of Jesus Christ that was long anticipated by the Father, (Genesis 2:18-25, Genesis 24, Ruth 2:1, Esther 2:2,5:1, with Ephesians 5:25-27) is now consummated in Revelation 19:7. And the faithful dead of all times, but not of the Bride of Jesus Christ, are resurrected and receive their inheritance into His Kingdom upon the earth. These are then guests of the Bride at the marriage supper. “Blessed are they which are called unto the marriage supper of the Lamb.” (The 45^th Psalm gives the dynamic shadow here as the reality is played out.)

Whereas the unfaithful regenerated remain in Hades, as do the unregenerate. Matthew 25:11,12 describes the unwise virgins & verse 30 the unprofitable servant. They remain in Hades until the 2^nd resurrection and stand at the Great White Throne Judgment. [Revelation 20:11-15]

And Isaiah 61 declares again that, finally the estranged Wife of God has been forgiven and mercifully restored home. [Isaiah 50:1, Ezekiel 16, Jeremiah 3, and Hosea 3:4,5] He must restore Israel’s 12 Tribes to the Land according to His promises of the New Covenant. He must then deliver them from their enemies. He must raise the dead priests also according to His promises. They must rise and cross over the river of death and possess the Land. As the final trump sounded and the walls of Jericho came tumbling down, so the 7^th Trump sounds and Great Babylon and its residents are cast down into the deep and God’s people receive their reward. While those, like Rahab, who feared the Lord are preserved, and the remnant of the sheep nations form the population for the millennial earth.

It should be understood that the Jubilee year is not a Sabbatical year. And whereas the 7^th  Millennial Period is the Sabbatical period of rest, pointing only to a temporary rest, following which would again be the toil of the first. (As an example, the weekly cyclical pattern.) But THE Jubilee year is on the eighth year, following that great 7^th Day Millennial Sabbatical, and points towards the permanence of that Eternal Day of New Beginnings, wrought in the Great Atonement of Jesus Christ. In the Restoration of all things into perfect paradise, of the last Day of that 7^th Millennium rest. Where Peter describes that 7^th Trump Crescendo as, “…day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up…never the less we, according to his promise, look for new heavens and a new earth, where in dwelleth righteousness.”
