Matt 16:16 And Simon Peter answered and said, Thou art the Christ, the Son of the living God. 17 And Jesus answered and said unto him, Blessed art thou, Simon Bar- jona: for flesh and blood hath not revealed it unto thee, but my Father which is in heaven.18 “And I say also unto thee, That thou art Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.
Hell here being representative of the kingdom of satan, the lord of flies and the father of sin and cause of death…..
Upon this rock I will build My Church…. What is the rock? It is Christ Eph 2:20.
What is the Church? The Church is not The Kingdom…. the Kingdom of heaven has a King. And its subjects will be those with the heavenly calling that are apart of His Called out ones the Church. This Kingdom of Heavens will be established with the return of The King, the Messiah at the end of The Tribulation and the beginning of Yeshua’s One Thousand year reign. The Church are those who are called out but like the 10 virgins not all the Church will share in the Kingdom of The Messiah. Many are called but few choose.
What is that something that was given from The Father? Revelation by The Spirit.
What is That something the Gates of Hades would not be able to prevail against (ingress or egress)??…… REVELATION KNOWLEDGE FROM INTIMACY WITH THE FATHER.
Then in addition something else is promised…. 19″ And I will give unto thee the keys of the kingdom of heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven.” We have seen from scripture in times past the kingdom of heaven and the kingdom of the Messiah are the same thing. It is to this kingdom we aspire to. It is the promise of this kingdom and its authority we as members of the Church are separated apart for and may have a part in. Daniel 7:27 And the kingdom and dominion, and the greatness of the kingdom under the whole heaven, shall be given to the people of the saints of the most High, whose kingdom is an everlasting kingdom, and all dominions shall serve and obey him.
Authority for dominion in the first heaven and the earth is two fold, a present limited authority with the future promise of a complete authority to those who receive the keys, the inheritance a part in The Kingdom of Heaven…also written in Rev 20:4.
REVELATION BY THE SPIRIT OF GOD IN THE CHURCH IS THE KEY TO INHERITING THE KINGDOM OF CHRIST
Not all hear what is being loudly broadcast in the streets of the Church.
Proverbs 1:21 She crieth in the chief place of concourse, in the openings of the gates: in the city she uttereth her words, saying,
22 How long, ye simple ones, will ye love simplicity?
and the scorners delight in their scorning, and fools hate knowledge?
23 Turn you at my reproof: behold, I will pour out my spirit unto you,
I will make known my words unto you.
Daniel 12….. and there shall be a time of trouble, such as never was since there was a nation even to that same time: and at that time thy people shall be delivered, every one that shall be found written in the book.
2 And many of them that sleep in the dust of the earth shall awake, some to everlasting life, and some to shame and everlasting contempt.
3 And they that be wise shall shine as the brightness of the firmament; and they that turn many to righteousness as the stars forever and ever.
GATES ARE TO KEEP INTRUDERS OUT AND RESIDENTS IN…. KEYS ARE EMBLEMS OF AUTHORITY….. Gates, in a broader sense, refer to access into someplace or somewhere.
There is authority, the right to access and possess, or remove, as one has been given the keys.
Hell and The Kingdom of Heaven HAVE GATES with KEYS.
“….I am he that liveth, and was dead; and, behold, I am alive for evermore, Amen’; and have the keys of hell and of death.”
This is the Testimony of Christ…..He was dead…..He has passed through death as one of us…but He is no longer dead but living…not just living but Immortal…and assures us that through His death we might have the key to the gate of resurrection into eternal life.
Death is a consequence of sin and is the fate of all men….and none can escape on there own.
Christ’s testimony here is “I can release from the unseen world of spirits and from DEATH whom I will”.
