B’reisheet (In the beginning)
IN THE BEGINNING GOD CREATED THE HEAVEN(S) AND THE EARTH
Genesis 1, 3:14-17, Revelation 12, Ephesians 3:10, 6:12, 1 Corinthians 15:50, Luke 24, Galatians 3:23, Romans 8:19, 2nd Timothy 2:12, Hebrews 8:4-13, Revelation 21:7
“In the beginning God created the heaven(s) and the earth.” In the beginning refers to Creation not to God Himself. In the beginning was when the heavens were created and the earth…..and as God created them with purpose, the purpose is supposed to be that they both would be inhabited. The heavens not merely consisting of what we see and call outer space…..but to a certain realm then and now occupied Revelation Chapter 12, Ephesians 3:10, 6:12.
Since the two areas mentioned are constituted of different materials and atmosphere’s the then created beings would therefore be uniquely adapted to those realms. That is able both to exist in that which is spiritual and that which is physical. Now the ancient creature presented to us in Scripture that is able to exist in either realm is known as and Angel made of spirit and therefore called spirits. And it appears that the Creator put in authority Angelic Beings over the heavens and earthly matter Luke 4:5,6 Ephesians 2:2; Ezekiel 29:12-19 “Thou art the anointed cherub that covereth: (overshadowing and protecting) and I have set thee so:”
Verse two says “And the earth was without form, and void: and darkness was upon the face of the deep….” This being a consequence of that Angelic catastrophe that is here unmentioned but seen elsewhere in Scriptue, in Isaiah 14:14 “How art thou fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning!” For thou hast said in thine heart, I will ascend into heaven, I will exalt my throne above the stars of God:…yet thou shalt be brought down to hell,…” the beginning of that prophetic word, his loss of the 3rd Heavens status and the destruction of his earthly kingdom, transpired sometime after the beginning and before the 6 day RE-Creation about to be described …. ‘And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters. And God said, Let there be light: and there was light.”
Now on the 6th day of re-creation God created a being that had not been before….that being was primarily physical material and was created a living soul, not a spirit, and was called Adam/Man.
It should be noted that Man was not “made” for the heavenly region… but was constructed for the earthly realm (although we understand now the mystery of his creation included a heavenly sphere 1 Peter 1:20).
THE CURSE… SERPENT, SATAN, WOMAN, MAN AND THE EARTH. Genesis 3:14-17
If Man had not sinned he would of not died.
Death now the fate and state of a disembodied living souls, death becoming now the separating barrier between him and God, and that as a result of his rebellion, leading to God’s curse.
He is now relegated to Hades in the center of the earth upon death Genesis 42:38; Psalm 139:8; Hosea 13:14; Isaiah 14:9; Matthew 11:23 Acts 2: 27-31, as his fitting to his composition that was earthy, and even in a justified state, he is yet earthy not heavenly constructed and cosigned to Hades. “….till thou return unt the groun; for out of it wast thou taken: for dust hou art, and unto dust shalt thou return.”
Spiritual beings constitute the heavenly realm. And Scripture declares that it is impossible for flesh and blood to inherit the kingdom of heaven 1 Corinthians 15:50.
SATAN WAS CURSED…. “And I will put enmity between thee and the woman, and between thy seed and her seed; he shall crush thy head, and thou shalt crush his heel.” Darby translation.
That Seed being Jesus The Anointed Son of God/ Son of Man.
The Heavenly Being that divested Himself as Son of God, and being found in the form of a Man, that is physical with flesh and blood He preceded to crush the head of satan, that is to remove him from authority and establish another in his place, and that by suffering which is depicted in the crushing of His heel Philippians 2:5-11; 1 John 3:8; Romans 16:20.
It is therefore phenomenal and extremely remarkable that Man should inherit a spiritual kingdom to which he was not created Jude 6,7.
And thus it follows that a striking change must not only be made in his corrupted nature but in mans composition to enable him to live within that realm…and so it is found in The Lord, in that He in His changed resurrected state set forth the new man condition in which any regenerated man might become that Bride of Christ to co-rule with Him from a heavenly realm Philippians 3:20,21; 1John 3:1-3; Revelation 20:6; Ephesians 1:19-23.
Upon immediate Resurrection Christ was not yet Glorified, that is to say Glory filled, that occurring 40 days later and that state described by John 50 plus years later in the first chapter of the book of Revelation with Hebrews 2:7… but yet He was in a Resurrected state here before un-experienced by no one. That state seen in Luke 24 “…..36 And as they thus spake, Jesus himself stood in the midst of them, and saith unto them, Peace be unto you. But they were terrified and affrighted, and supposed that they had seen a spirit. And he said unto them, Why are ye troubled? and why do thoughts arise in your hearts? Behold my hands and my feet, that it is I myself: handle me, and see; for a spirit hath not flesh and bones, as ye see me have (noticeable and instructive is the absence of blood). And when he had thus spoken, he shewed them his hands and his feet. And while they yet believed not for joy, and wondered, he said unto them, Have ye here any meat? And they gave him a piece of a broiled fish, and of an honeycomb. And he took it, and did eat before them. And he said unto them, These are the words which I spake unto you, while I was yet with you, that all things must be fulfilled, which were written in the law of Moses, and in the prophets, and in the psalms, concerning me. Then opened he their understanding, that they might understand the scriptures, And said unto them, Thus it is written, and thus it behooved Christ to suffer, and to rise from the dead the third day: And that repentance and remission of sins should be preached in his name among all nations, beginning at Jerusalem. And ye are witnesses of these things.
And, behold, I send the promise of my Father upon you: but tarry ye in the city of Jerusalem, until ye be endued with power from on high.
And he led them out as far as to Bethany, and he lifted up his hands, and blessed them. And it came to pass, while he blessed them, he was parted from them, and carried up into heaven (declaring that remarkable new state of being FOR MAN, in the resurrection of soul, united with spirit and body Romans 8:18; Ephesians 1:18; Colossians 1:27, 3:4; 1 Thessalonians 2:12; 2 Thessalonians 2:14; Hebrews 2:10, 1 Peter 1:7, 5:1,4; Romans 8:17,30 2 Timothy 2:10-13 that transcends earthy). And they worshipped him, and returned to Jerusalem with great joy: And were continually in the temple, praising and blessing God. Amen.
Scripture reveals that Man had been, since Abraham, divided into Two distinct Groups
- That of Abrahams seed
- Gentiles
Since the Day of Pentecost there is declared by God Three Groups of Men:
- Jews
- Gentiles
- The New Man
AS GENESIS IS THE BOOK OF BEGINNINGS, THE BOOK OF REVELATION REVEALS THE “ENDING’S”
These 3 Groups are distinguished further throughout the Book of Revelation and in the Millennium period as Bible students should look into. And then again in Revelation chapter 21 Scripture continues distinguishing these three entities beyond that Millennium period.
It is important to see the full purpose of Christ’s Atonement and then the sequences and order of God’s Salvation Plan.. Acts 15 now exposes God’s present purpose in the Gospel to the Gentiles unto a state of great potential that being co-rulers with Yahshua/Jesus,… replacing current spirit rulers. The New Man uniquely equipped, not just resurrected and remaining in that state like unto Christ when He was first resurrected (Ezekiel 37:1-14), but glorified/ glory filled as He is, to exist and rule in the heavenly realm Romans 8:29,30; Revelation 20:4-6.
And after this is accomplished, then restoration of the earthly kingdom of Abrahams promise in the reestablishing the governmental throne of David upon the earth. This is to say the preeminence of Israel as the spiritual conduit to God for the Gentiles, for no less a period of time than 1000 years.
So it is displayed in Scripture order….Christ born in the flesh of a woman, preached the message of the kingdom, suffering rejection by Israel, then a Bride chosen primarily from the Gentiles, then the Nation of Israel repentive and restored, then satan incarcerated unable to tempt man for a 1000 yr. period, then all Gentile nations blessed by Israel’s restoration,. Then a new heavens and new earth where there will yet be a separation of earthly and heavenly order of subjects and governments for ages to come.
AND SO WE SHOULD SEE GOD’S PURPOSES, IN THE SON OF MAN AND FOR THIS FOREORDAINED CALLING OF THE NEW MAN …
- that He may display His Wisdom to the Principalities and Powers in the heavenly places eph3:10.
- His Love, Mercy and Grace might forever be fully displayed.
- that satan’s works of all ages be destroyed and the Kingdom cleansed 1 John 3:8
- That Jesus Christ might wed unto Himself a Bride that would replace and restore that heavenly order and government that satan and his had wickedly abused for so long.
AUTHORITY AND GLORY HAS BEEN GIVEN TO JESUS.
“all power (authority) is given unto me in heaven and earth.” Matthew 28:18 And it is in that authority and glory He will come, and grant His bride the same. …..with Luke 24:44 “….that all things must be fulfilled, which were written in the law of Moses, and in the prophets, and in the psalms, concerning me.”
ALL THINGS BEING FULFILLED THAT WERE WRITTEN IN THE LAW OF MOSES, IN THE PROPHETS AND PSALMS
Galatians 3:23 “But before faith came, we were kept under the law, shut up unto the faith which should afterwards be revealed.” Before what faith came? The Faith in Jesus Christ the Messiah’s Atonement. A Faith in contrast to the legal religious ritual necessary to cover the multitude of separating sins by the nation then called out… that is represented in “keeping” the Law of Moses.
Why then were they/we kept under the Law….. ”it was added because of transgressions, till the Seed should come to whom the promise was made…” the implication is that without the Law of Moses to cover the overwhelming number of sins committed by the called out people, their sins would of eliminated them as a nation of people called out to be sons of God before the time of Faith through the promised Seed could be revealed and implemented as the means unto sonship Hebrews 8:4-13.
That Faith in The Seed’s Atonement being the only appointed way unto sonship. That Faith accompanied by the receiving of the Gift of The Holy Spirit and then yielding to the changing force of His Grace being the appointed means unto Christ-like sonship. Correctly understood then the NC Scriptures put the pursuit of holiness and sonship as a Faith only endeavor, and the Law as only a part of the means pointing unto an end. “Wherefore the law was our schoolmaster to bring us unto Christ, that we might be justified by faith. But after that faith is come, we are no longer under a schoolmaster. For ye are all the children of God by faith in Christ Jesus.”
The Merciful Hand of God has always extended justifying faith, accompanied by eternal life….Adam experienced it, Abraham experienced it, Moses experienced it…..but Justifying faith as it relates to heir-ship reaches no further than the inheritance of a child…. “Now I say, That the heir, as long as he is a child, differeth nothing from a servant, though he be (potential) lord of all; But is under tutors and managers until the time appointed of the father. (this is the reference to the Law of Moses being a manager to children) EVEN SO WE, when we were CHILDREN, were in bondage under the ELEMENTS OF THE WORLD: (those UNDER the management of the Law are then like children who are still under the bondage of the world!). But when the fullness of the time was come, God sent forth his Son, born of a woman, made under the law, that we might receive the adoption OF SONS (sons here has the connotation of rulers, children do not rule, SONS rule.) And because ye are sons, God hath sent forth the Spirit of his Son into your hearts, crying Abba, Father. (can you see God had children through justifying faith even before the law, but it was not children that God was pointing forward to, but adopted SONS able and worthy to rule with His Son, and whereas justifying faith with the animal blood of the covenants was sufficient unto the appropriation of the status as a child, and therefore and heir, that being limited to eternal life…..it by no means fitted him for ruling as a SON of God, that type of inheritance being found in the double portion of the first born son.) Wherefore (wherefore what? Wherefore you have received the work of The Spirit of Adoption in your heart, therefore) thou art no more a servant, but a son; (referencing back to a child under the management of the law) and if a son, then an heir of God through Christ (as now the greater Faith, sanctifying Faith is working with the Gift unto sonship).
It is vital to a Christian to see the Law in the right light of truth. Once truth of God’s full Salvation plan is understood the Law of Moses takes its rightful secondary yet significant place. A Christian must see that although he came in by an acknowledgement of sin first revealed in the Torah Law and that The Father through Jesus Christ propitiated for his sin and HE extended His Merciful gift of eternal life through justifying faith in His Son, and now that solely on the merit of Jesus you have become a child of God’s and surely are delivered from His Wrath of eternal fire in Hell… But wrongly is it understood and taught that as a consequence of that gift, you will inherit as a first born son and bride The Kingdom of the heavenly realm. Scripture reveals unless you are found worthy you will not inherit the heavenly kingdom. Is this not the meaning of Revelation 21:7 “He that overcometh shall inherit all things; and I will be his God, and he shall be my son.”
It is for the “revealing of the SONS of God” that creation waits… Romans 8:19.
The Heirs to rule are the adopted (appointed) SONS….from among all the children.
His position being superior to other children.
The distinction is between being merely saved and eternally glorified… Romans 8.
The one is the truth of Romans 3 and the other is the truth of Romans 8…. but between them lies the practical application of that greater faith than merely justified, that sanctification faith which is set forth in chapters 6 and 7.
2nd Timothy 2:12 “If we suffer (patiently endure), we shall also reign with him: if we deny him, he also will deny us (reigning with Him):”
Death works no magic upon character…in the state of character we die in will we stand before the Judgment Seat of Christ at the time of the first resurrection to determine who endured with faithful striving to Christ-likeness and who denied Him.
Some teach that in death are we now perfected, if that was so, then the sooner we die the better. And if in death we are equipped for the heavenly realm by being made perfect, what need the Judgment Seat of Christ, what has perfect having to do with judgment.
