ISAIAH’S END-TIME TIMELINE

Isaiah’s End-time Timeline Chapter 41

THREE COVENANTS RUNNING CONCURRENTLY

Jeremiah 10, Daniel 7:22,27, Acts 1-2, 15:14, Mark 4:1-20

Examining the 3 people groups whom God made Covenant with.

The 41st chapter of Isaiah can even be clearer if Jeremiah 10 is also read with it. Isaiah points towards the one great false god of the North, full of “wisdom and knowledge”. He is powerful in that, “….they worshiped the beast, saying, Who is like unto the beast? Who is able to make war with him?” [Revelation 13:4, with Isaiah 41:25, Daniel 11, Jeremiah 1:13-15]

Isaiah 41 also reveals and asks the questions (as it pertains to their inability to comprehend prophecy), ‘Who raises up the righteous one from the East? Who sends Him from the heavenly realm, and is to come and defeat the nations and rule over their kings? Who spoke it and brought it to pass? In spite of this god to whom the whole World has feared and turned unto, God derides His enemies. Those who set up idols and worship them, and those whom the idols represent, who have came out against Him and Israel.’

“But thou, Israel, art my servant, Jacob whom I have chosen, the seed of Abraham my friend….I have chosen thee, and not cast you away. Fear thou not; for I am with you….For I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee…..they that strive with you will perish, thou shalt seek them, and not find them…they that war against thee shall be as nothing…..thou shalt rejoice in the Lord, and shalt glory in the Holy One of Israel. When the poor and needy seek water, and there is none, and their tongue faileth for thirst, I the Lord will hear the.…I will open rivers in high places, and fountains in the midst of the valleys: I will make the wilderness a pool of water, and the dry land springs of water…..That they may see, and know and consider, and understand together, that the hand of the Lord hath done this…” [Isaiah 41:8-20 with Revelation 12:12-17]

Though “I have raised up one from the north.… (he will not prevail against you, for….) One shall come from the rising of the sun, and by my name he shall be called…”

For it is God here who here answers His questions of Isaiah 41 verses 2-4. After having recorded these prophetic Words, God picks up again in verses 26-29. He began in verse 21 to deride the false prophets, the soothsayers, the seers, the ‘gods’…..Do something! Declare the meanings of these things! Show us the things which are to come to pass, by declaring the meanings of those things past! “Behold you are of nothing, and your work, worse than of a viper: an abomination is he that chooseth you.” With verses 28 and 29: “For I beheld, and there was no man…there was no counselor, when I asked of them, could answer a word. Behold, they are all vanity; their works are nothing: their molten images are wind and confusion.”

A quick overview of GODS PURPOSES FOR PROPHECIES as they relate to Isaiah; and to the rest of the Bible UNTO ALL MANKIND. As God reveals the end from the beginning in His Word. (It would be good to keep in mind all prophecy deals with the future Kingdom of God.)

There are 3 different lines of prophecy running in the earth today and dealing with 3 different sets of Covenants and laws.

  1. One having to do with the Jews
  2. One having to do with the Gentiles
  3. One having to do with the Gospel Church

The prophecies relating to the Jews have to do with the irrevocable Covenant, with promises of God to Abraham, and traces their existing Covenant and laws to Mt. Sinai, through their judgments of exile, unto their glorious restoration.

The prophecies relating to the Gentiles’ earthly authority, with its Covenant and laws, have to do with the timeless Noahic Covenant. Which is to say, with “…all flesh upon the earth…”. [Genesis 9] Later the exclusion of the Jews and those of the Church, and with that succession of authority in the earth for the second time, that after Israel’s idolatry seen in the Babylonian exile. That is to say, as a result of the failure of the Jews to establish the Mosaic Covenant in the earth, the authority in the earth once again was granted to the Gentiles.

The prophecies relating to the Gospel Church, with its Covenant and laws, are relating to God suspending, for a specific time, His call (not Covenant) upon the seed/progeny of Abraham. As He now calls out a people, through Jesus Christ’s Atonement, for His Name out of the Gentiles.

So it is that there are three different lines of unfulfilled prophecies dealing with 3 different Covenants. Their laws and authorities run concurrently, all pointing towards the Great and fearful Day of the Lord, the Second Coming of Jesus the Christ, the King and Messiah. That must be understood and correctly categorized, if one is going to be moved by the Spirit of the Word unto sanctification through awe and fear in faith in Him. Which is what is intended by the great revelations of God, Who only is able to reveal the corresponding ends of all these moving parts from their distinct beginnings. So that through foreknowledge we might be safeguarded from the error of the wicked as these things are beginning to now manifest.

The Covenant with the Gentiles (“all the flesh on the earth..” Genesis 9:8-17) and the prophecies dealing with God’s great controversy with them are seen first in Nimrod’s Babylon, then in Nebuchadnezzar’s Babylon and finally culminate in the Book of Revelation in Mystery Babylon associated with the Anti-Christ.

Almost all the OC prophecies belong to the Israelites/Jews in the practical application in an earthly promised kingdom restored by the Messiah just after the great tribulation of the end times. And the ones applicable to them in the New Covenant are easily distinguished.

New Covenant prophesies and heavenly calling were a “mystery” hidden in the Ages past until the Lord and His Apostles revealed it. Therefore there are no direct prophecies of that election in the Old Testament of it. There are only a few allusions that would not have been understood without further revelation. The connection is in the relation to Jesus Christ to Abraham, and then through Him, a calling, to both Jews and Gentiles, exampled in the Old Covenant words of Daniel 7:22…. “the Saints of the High Places.” Not to an earthly kingdom inheritance, (although closely related, which is reflected in “…the people of the saints of the most high” of Daniel 7:27) but to a heavenly inheritance. To which the First Fruits answer, that then God shall return His interest on the Jews. Its laws and promises are from Jesus Christ for the New Man, and are found in the realities of the New Testament Scriptures.

Then in the final judgment days of the close of this Age, those last 7 years of Daniel’s prophecies, there are three classes of people. Those with knowledge of their Covenants who ignore them. The Jews, of which 2/3 perish in the judgments, and the nominal, lukewarm Christians who were not watching and praying who also face the fires of tribulation destruction. And the third being the Gentiles without the knowledge of God, who are sent the final message of: “FEAR GOD, and give glory to him; for the hour of his judgment is come: and worship him that made heaven, and earth, and the sea, and the fountains of waters.” [Revelation 14:7, Isaiah 66:16]

Having said these things, we are prepared to look at and understand the 3 time frames equaling 70 weeks of years. That is to say the 490 years disclosed by prophesy to Daniel of the Times of the Gentiles. This began with Nebuchadnezzar, the king of Babylon, unto the Second Coming and Reign of the Messiah in the restored kingdom of Israel. This can be fully comprehended in the Book of Revelation.

Those time frames are:

FIRST PERIOD —- he 483 years that began with the issuing of the mandate to rebuild the city and walls of Jerusalem and ended with the presentation of the Messiah and then His being cut off. This is in harmony with Jesus’ command to John to, “Write the things which thou hast seen….” Revelation 1

SECOND PERIOD —- An indefinite time frame beginning at the end of the first period until the First Resurrection out from among the dead, along with the righteous living at that time, caught up to the Lord in the air. THIS is that time of calling out of a people from the Gentiles. This is the Age of Grace and Mercy wherein all the prophecies of the Jews have been suspended, in harmony with the continuing word of prophecy, “ …those things which are now…” Revelation Chapters 2 &3

THIRD PERIOD —- That future seven year period which the Anti-Christ makes with the nation of Israel. It is a period of great judgment, when God will again begin to deal with the Jews, at the end of which the Lord Comes and establishes His Kingdom… “….and the things which shall be hereafter…” Revelation Chapters 4-19
