ISAIAH’S END-TIME TIMELINE

Isaiah’s End-time Timeline Chapters 25-27

Christ, the Spirit of Prophecy

Israel and the Church Walking in the Steps of Christ

ISAIAH CHAPTER 25, 26, and 27 are all a part of one discourse starting in chapter 24. These chapters are Messianic as they together deal with the 2nd Coming of Jesus Christ and the establishing of His Kingdom, both on the earth and in the first heaven just above the earth. First, remembering what has been shown to us in chapter 23 and 24. Where Tyre is the type of the end time self-absorbed worldwide economy, Godless in its nature. That is to say, Mystery Babylon. To which we have discovered and applied to Rome in the corresponding Scriptures of Ezekiel, and Revelation 17. The time is approaching the Return of Christ. And after an alliance has been made between the Anti-Christ and the nation of Israel, the confederacy of the 10 kings with the Anti-Christ is used in the destruction of the city of Rome. Proceeding forward in Isaiah 24:21-23 we then have the manifest Return of Jesus Christ with His worldwide judgments on the kings of the earth and the spirits on high. “And they shall be gathered together, as prisoners are gathered in the pit, and shall be shut up in the prison, after many days shall thy be visited…..the Lord of hosts shall reign in mount Zion, and in Jerusalem, and before His ancients gloriously.”

Moving on now to the 25th chapter. Scriptures, as they often do, go and backfill some of the events and details after having given the full course in brief. The beginning of the 19th chapter of Revelation corresponds with events of the 24th chapter of Isaiah and the following exalting of God in the first verse of chapter 25.

Keeping in mind the letter of the Old Covenant Word belongs to Israel, not to us. Most is historically applied to a certain people called out of the World. Some of it was historically applied and seen in earthly Israel, as there is also a certain application to Israel’s future. But in the spirit, it much applies to us (the new man in Christ), even in all its details. And to us it is only profitable in this other intended application. In other words, as Peter said: “No prophecy of Scripture is of private interpretation.” (See the many examples as it relates to prophet, king and priest, the sprinkled blood, Egypt, the manna, crossing the Jordan, the feasts, baptism, etc. As the Lord and the New Covenant ministers applied the Scriptures of old from a New Covenant perspective.) Scripture cannot be limited to the letter and be fully comprehended. The Old Covenant Words have more than one application. The Old Covenant Scriptures in its first application point to Jesus Christ. With preludes of His incarnation, and then as His steps are traced prophetically in Israel’s steps. For example, if Israel went into Egypt when a child, so then Christ. If Israel tempted in the wilderness, so then Christ. If Israel was not to live by bread alone, so then Christ. He fills them with their fullest meaning, in is life and Words. We will comprehend them, as now our steps are to be traced in His.

As John was receiving the Revelation of Jesus Christ in the 19th Chapter of that Book, the Elders /Angels the ancients (Isaiah 24:23, Revelation 4:4, 11:16-18) fell down and worshipped God as His end-time judgments and intents (“councils of old”) were being revealed. And in the midst, a directing Angel said: “Write, Blessed are they which are called unto the marriage supper of the Lamb. And he saith unto me, These are the true sayings of God.” And I fell at his feet to worship him. And he said unto me, See thou do it not: I am thy fellow servant, and of thy brethren that have the testimony of Jesus: worship God: for the testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy.” Jesus is the Word made flesh. He is fullness of the Godhead manifest. Our light will come with beholding Him in these Scriptures. If we rightly divide the Lord’s path, and the Lord’s testimony, then in light of that revealed Word we shall clearly see our path.

We say, indeed, that the literal Israel answers to the spiritual “Israel”. Now, we see the general analogy between these two dispensations. Yet, in applying the details, how often is one thing taken spiritually, in correct correspondence with the analogy in New Covenant understanding. And the next thing taken literally, contrary to New Covenant understanding! The consequences are evident all around us with this confusion between the flesh and the Spirit/spirit, causing factions with dissenting views. These are not only opposed to others but also to them. This condition hidden and perpetuated by a false sense of justification by the letter of the Word. These then move from Priests to Scribes that study the Scriptures but have not apprehended He who has apprehended.

The Higher things have been opened up unto us by the Resurrection of Jesus Christ. May the Lord grant us in that power, the wisdom and understanding in the knowledge of God. That priestly wisdom and understanding that rightly perceives that knowledge of God does not, and cannot, evolve around doctrine alone, but must have living faith. That is to say, intimate communion to maintain priesthood and be effective against the unseen forces.

Teachers of Truth are more subject to failure. That is to say, lose their priesthood, without living communion. And teachers with error are more likely to see the Truth with living communion. Better to be without knowledge of God in sincere communion than with knowledge and without sincere communion. Well taught called priests become mere pupils of doctrines without communion. Doctrines of Truth without communion will not help us, but will be used against us, when the spiritual powers array themselves against us.

Let us all, as born-again in Christ are called to be priests, who are to be led and taught of the Spirit/spirit, then be warned: If we are but looking for Truth in our doctrines, we will not stand in the calling of priests any longer, but soon will become Scribes or Pharisees, blind to our need and disqualified for priestly service. And walking according to religious, fleshly ideas susceptible to the wiles of satan.

Isaiah 25:2 is further reference of the destruction of Mystery Babylon; Rome and literal Babylon.

Verse 3 To both the remnant Jew and remnant Christian, as well as Gentiles across the World.

Verse 4 & 5 “strangers’ a reference to the kings of the earth….as the terrible ones…is a reference to the spirit tyrants, the host of the high ones.

Verse 6 Now after the judgments upon satan and the enemies of God, the feast of many shall set down in that day, spoken by the Lord.

Verse 7 (Note one translation: “And he will destroy on this mountain the face of the Ruler that ruleth over all nations:” ) For the verse as it relates to the World, see 2 Corinthians 4:4. And as it further relates to Israel, 2 Corinthians 4:14-16. Here glancing ahead at Isaiah 26:13….other lords beside thee have had dominion over us….” Also refers back to the words of Isaiah 24:21 “And it shall come to pass in that day, that the Lord shall punish the host of the high ones that are on high, (Ephesians 6) and the kings of the earth upon the earth.” In that they had served the kings of the earth by coercion, which was the natural consequence of their serving the host of the high ones in the willfulness of their own volition. Satan now removed, so the veil, as the reaping Angels will have gathered all things that offend and those that do iniquity and cast them out.

(What does it mean to have the veil removed, to have the eyes uncovered, to have the enemy tyrants who have kept us in darkness removed? Will it not be natural and unforced for these who experience this immediate deliverance from lifelong darkness to sing , “This is our God”? In this new economy, what is our new consciousness? Is it not a much higher form of thought and thus living? Does not the presence of the Glory of God over the whole earth change the dynamic of our existence greatly? Will not the petty things we are caught up in now disappear in the new awareness in spirit/Spirit?)

Verse 8 & 9 is seen clearly in 1Corinthians 15:54 with Daniel 12:1,2. It is the time of the First Resurrection. It is the time referred to by the Lord in Luke 20:35,36 “…neither can they die anymore”. Also the fulfillment upon the Earth of…. “all shall know the Lord, from the least to the greatest”. See also Romans 11:15, as now Israel is restored.

Verses 10-12 can be best defined as a continued declaration by God upon the enemy kingdom of satan. “….for in the mountain shall the hand of the Lord rest, and Moab shall be trodden down under him….” The top of that mountain reaching into the spirit realm of the first heaven, where after casting down satan, and relegating him to the Abyss, His hand of authority shall rest.

CHAPTER 26 “In that day….” connects the chapters, as “in that day…” connects the following chapter 27. The song being the song of Moses.

Verses 1-4 speak to both the nation of Israel reestablished in Jerusalem and the nation of the new man established in the top of the mount.

Verse 5 refers to both that kingdom and city on high, in the first heaven, where satan now rules from over the World. And the future city and kingdom of his cohort oppressor of Israel, the Anti-Christ.

Verses 6 – 9 “…the meek shall inherit the earth…” Matthew 5-7 The righteous and meek of both nations have an inheritance, wherein both the soul and spirit are found to have been engaged in the pursuit of God.

Verses 10 &11 bring us back into the Tribulation period. Revelation 16:9, as it relates to the wicked of the World. But as it relates to the ‘they’ of verse 11, it is supposed that ‘being ashamed once seeing’, refers also to awakened Israel in the day of His Return.

Verse 12 The ordained peace for us ….and the works for us….is a declaration of the blessing promise of Abraham. For in the first place, if God was to demand an equivalent penalty to the crimes of Israel, then the promise, “Blessing, I will bless thee; and multiplying, I will multiply thee….” could not be fulfilled.

Verses 13 & 14 The Destroyer and those who destroy are addressed here…the residue of Revelation 19. They shall not as they rise from the dead. They are eternally dead and will remain so forever.

Verse 15 A reference to the First-Fruits of Revelation 12, the man-child.

Verses 16-20 And later to the tribulation and patience unto the Harvest. [Revelation 14:15]

As Noah was shut in, and Lot carried out.

Verse 21 The Lord comes out of His Place to tread out the grapes in wrath, and avenge the blood of His Saints. [Deuteronomy 32:43]

(And is there an allusion to the Egyptian demise. In as that blood of the first born answered to coming out of ancient Israel, here we have the blood of the nations.)

CHAPTER 27 verses 1-13 The dedicated holy sword slays the most unholy serpent…satan. The Garden of Genesis is alluded to in these verses, and the serpent is put out at last. Satan intends to wipe out the nation. God intervenes and stays him in his wicked design. As Eve was the first to believe satan, so the women are the first to believe Christ’s Resurrection, and spread the Word.

Israel receives the Lord, destroys all false idols, God purges them at their repentance, and sounds the Jubilee trump. It is time to worship OUR GOD, and rebuild the Temple. The nation flourishes under the watchful eye of the Lord, for a thousand years.
