Revelation Revealed Chapter 19 v1-4
THE AVENGER OF THE BLOOD
Revelation Chapter 18 concludes with the destruction of Babylon, the great city, the epitome of all ancient and modern self-glorified Godlessness. Her destruction is complete and eternal. Chapter 19 begins in verse 1… “And after these things I heard a great voice of much people in heaven, saying, alleluia; Salvation, and glory and honour, and power, unto the Lord our God: For true and righteous are his judgments: for he hath judged the great whore, which did corrupt the earth with her fornication, and hath avenged the blood of his servants at her hand. And again they said, Alleluia. And her smoke rose up for ever and ever.” Compare this with Deuteronomy 32:43. “Rejoice, O ye nations, with his people: for he will avenge the blood of his servants, and will render vengeance to his adversaries, and will be merciful unto his land, and to his people.”
We have been looking in the Book of Revelation at the closing out of the Times of the Gentiles. That is for those specific last 3 1/2 years of the GREAT TRIBULATION / GREAT TEMPTATION /Jacob’s Trouble (Jeremiah 30:7) is that future time when the final seven years of Daniel’s Seventy-Week prophecy will be fulfilled (Daniel 9:24-27) upon the entire earth in the 16th,17th and 18th chapters and now the 19th of Revelation.
Today there is but ONE ruling system in the World…it is satanic.
Satan, since his fall, has been thrice the incumbent, but has never lost his authority. That is to say, significantly have it diminish. First, he was the incumbent after God made Man/Adam in His image; that he might rule in regality in his place. But Satan jealously, having caused his fall; retained his rule in the World. God then brought Israel into being through the Abrahamic and Jacob Covenant. [Isaiah 43:1] Satan, then having also caused Israel to stumble, maintained his World ruler-ship.
Having been defeated by Jesus, now for the third and final time, the incumbent.
There is no other ruling system in the World. This becomes important to understand as we look at the End Time governmental dynamics of the World both spiritually and materially from the Scriptural Truth perspective. It is being played out for us in the Book of Revelation, and we should keep these things in mind.
- Israel, having received the promises of the Kingdom and the blessing unto the Gentiles, but becoming sick and corrupted, they rejected His Lordship; and have then/now no authority in the World. Israel’s grievous sin against God was/is also then against all Gentile Nations, leaving them unrepresented in the satanic ruled World “…strangers from the covenants of promise, having no hope, and without God in the World.…” God’s sense of justice fit for the crime is why one finds Israel scattered among the Gentile Nations, and why the Gentile Nations have ruled over Israel since Babylon. This is also why God has used the Gentile Nations as instruments of His Wrath upon Israel: And that all the way to this VERSE that celebrates that great redemptive moment, warranting such great voice of much people praising God…. even unto this: The Return and revelation of the Messiah unto Israel’s repentance.
- As an additional consequence to the Nation of Israel; their breaking off resulted in the Atonement of Christ’s Covenant in this current Age of Mercy and Grace in the calling of a people for His Name primarily out of the Gentile Nations; that will be the Bride of Christ. A Nation looking unto the heavens for their kingdom to come, entirely by faith in Christ’s Words, in the spirit of wisdom, and understanding in the knowledge of God, and having no part in the World’s kingdom system. Their ruling is appointed for another time (Millennial) and from another place other than on the Earth (from the heavens). Therefore, any ruling by a Christian in this World is unauthorized & disqualifying as “…out of time.. “ Theirs is the charge of “faithful witnesses”. And as Israel was held to severe account for their “witness” of God to the Nations, (Isaiah 42:6) so then also a Christian will stand before the Judgment Seat of Christ and give account for their lives relative to their calling. [1Peter 2:9] (A sobering thought is that it is the same Just God who warranted the Holocaust(s) of Israel who requires also the Christians’ accounting).
- The Mosaic Covenant and the Gospel Covenant of Mercy and Grace, having ran their courses, accordingly the clear and definite Covenant that will dictate affairs in the earth between man and God at that end time then is dominantly Noah’s. “And surely your blood of your lives will I require: at the hand of every beast will I require it, and at the hand of man; at the hand of every man’s brother will I require the life of man. Whoso sheddeth man’s blood, by man shall his blood be shed: for in the image of God made he man.”
- Additionally, Eretz Israel is polluted by its shedding of the Lord’s Blood… “So ye shall not pollute the land wherein ye are: for blood it defileth the land: and the land cannot be cleansed of the blood that is shed therein, but by the blood of him that shed it.” [Numbers 35:33]
The Book of Esther parallels the Book of Revelation, especially these last 3 ½ years. We can rightly compare Vashti & Ester the Queen with present and future Israel. That all the many peoples and servants of the King gathered together in fabulous surroundings, and for many days He shewed the riches of glorious kingdom and the honour of his excellent majesty as He prepared for the great feast of 7 days in the court of the garden of the kings’s palace. And on the 7th day….. when the beautifully adorned and crowned Queen was commanded to present herself before all the Kings subjects. The Queen refused to present herself making the king very wroth, and his anger burned in him. The king consulted his advisors. And because the actions of the Queen had wronged not only the King, but everyone in the kingdom as well, a decree, in keeping with her actions, was issued.
“That Vashti come no more before king Ahasuerus; and let the king give her royal estate unto another that is better than she” …..“So Esther was taken unto king Ahasuerus into his house royal in the tenth month….in the seventh year of his reign. And the King loved Esther above all the women, and she obtained grace and favour in his sight more than all the virgins; so that he set the royal crown upon her head, and made her queen instead of Vashti.” The king then “made a great feast,” which was proclaimed to be “Esther’s feast.” And he “made a release [‘rest’] to the provinces” in his kingdom, and “gave gifts, according to the state of the king.”
Ester, Wife and Queen, represents repentant Israel, in the days of Haman, who is playing the role of *Anti-Christ. She, being in great persecution, beseeches the king, playing the role of Yahweh, He then intervenes, bringing the Anti-Christ’s intended plan of total extermination of the Jews to an end. “If Mordecai be of the seed of the Jews, before whom thou hast begun to fall, thou shalt not prevail against him, but shalt surely fall before him”. *Israel is to be trodden under foot by the last king of Babylon/the Anti-Christ during this time. The Jews who do not escape to a specially prepared place in the mountainous terrain of the land of Israel will either being killed or sold as slaves throughout the Gentile world. [Daniel 9:26; Matthew 24:15-22; Luke 21:20-24; Revelation 11:1, 2]
“Because Haman…..the enemy of all the Jews, had devised against the Jews to destroy them, ….But when Esther came before the king, he commanded by letters that his wicked device, which he devised against the Jews, should return upon his own head, and that he and his 10 sons should be hanged on the gallows.” [Esther 9:25] This is the Word’s prophetic declaration as it relates to the end of the Anti-Christ. That of his drowning at the Red Sea…the fate of the prince of Tyrus and the last king of Babylon (Ezekiel 28; Isaiah 14)…..as impaled here upon the gallows of Esther 7:10. The violent destruction of Daniel 2:34; 7:26; 8:23-25; 11:36-45…..and finally in the anti-type, his fiery destruction in Jesus Christ’s 2nd Coming in power and splendor. [Revelation 19:11-21] Then, exactly as the Jews were delivered in Exodus, Esther, and Daniel, with a Queen’s royalty in view (Exodus 14:30, 31; 19:5, 6; Esther 8:1-7; 10:2, 3; Daniel 12), so will it be at the end of the Tribulation in the future. [Hosea 2:19,20 Isaiah 1:25-2:5; Ezekiel 37:21-28; 39:25-29]
Gentile world power is then going to come to an end. All that Haman’s house had possessed was given to the Jews. “…behold, I have given Esther the house of Haman,…” (Esther 8:7) So all that the Anti-Christ / satan has then under his authority will be given to Jews. * (Note: Then the additional purpose for previously having delivered the heavens out from under the authority of satan, as the theocracy of Israel will then be under the authority of those given the heavens).
REVELATION 19:1 Heavens are in anticipatory rejoicing and celebrating, Babylon the Great City is burning, THE WISE COVENANT KEEPER HAS AVENGED AND SAVED HIS PEOPLE! Now they are in anticipation and preparation of the Great 7th Day Wedding Feast. “After these things, when the wrath of king Ahasuerus was appeased….”
God’s Wrath is fully and completely appeased as it relates to His chosen people of Israel. It is now time of deliverance, re-gathering and restoring Israel and placing her into her place, that is as preeminent on the Earth in the Messianic Kingdom. Israel shall receive her right and title of first born son and wife* of Yahweh. As regal ruler over all the Nations of the Earth. [Numbers 23:9 & Deuteronomy 14:2]
*Briefly, to understand the Principle of Israel being Yahweh’s Wife/Queen, one must understand the making of Adam in the image of God. In that God made man in His Image and from him he then took his wife. Together the command is to rule. “Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion…..So God created man in his own image in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them.” Together they are in God’s Image….that is to say, united they are one. Man could not rule without wife. And now after the fall, they could not rule in their corrupted state. God, then taking the place of the Husband, allows Israel as His Wife to rule as His Queen in a theocracy in the realm of man on the Earth among and over the Nations.
Today Israel is guilty of being a man-slayer. [Numbers 35:11-34]
She has been and is still being pursued by the revenger of blood. Therefore any present restoration back into the Land without ransom is presumptuous and ill advised. Albeit a remnant back in the Land prior to its cleansing restoration is accounted for in Scripture. In this respect, the remnant in the land today constitutes the gathered nation which will make the seven-year covenant with Antichrist. [Daniel 9:27] And this remnant will later be uprooted from the land, and that for 3 ½ years. [Daniel 8:11-14; Revelation 13:5; 11:2] This can never occur after the Jewish people have been regathered to the land in the fulfillment of Old Testament prophecy. [Isaiah 2:1-4; Jeremiah 32:37-44; Ezekiel 37:19-28; 39:25-29; Micah 4:1-7]
In the middle of the Tribulation, when Antichrist breaks his covenant with Israel, the nation of Israel, as we know it today, will be uprooted from their land. And the Jews dwelling in the land at that time, who do not escape to places of safety out among the surrounding nations [Matthew 24:16-20; Revelation 12:6,14], will either be slain or sold as slaves throughout the Gentile world. [Ezekiel 5:12; Joel 3:6; Luke 21:20-24; Revelation 11:2; 16:19]
Any Jew ruling; be it in Israel or a Gentile Nation would also be out of time, (appointed time) as she has been for 2000 years (2 days Hosea 6:2) rejected from ruling in the Earth as the wayward wife and the rejected first son. Not until the “7th Day” cleansing after defilement with the dead Body. (Numbers 19:11,12) Not until Israel receives the Passover Blood covering for her shedding of Blood, will she be ransomed and her Land cleansed and that she may be restored to what is her inheritance as Abraham’s seed. Only then will she be the blessing to the Gentile Nations. [Genesis 12:3]
Israel is guilty of shedding the Blood of Jesus Christ. And is therefore a man-slayer and under the law and penalty of Numbers 35. The Anti-Christ will be acting under the authority and directives given to the avenger of Blood. That in that one guilty of shedding blood of another man must have his blood shed in order to answer to that blood and its defiling effect upon the land. This is the unchanged Divine decree to Noah, (Genesis 9:6) 800 plus years before Moses expanded in Numbers 35:33.
Israel, although ignorantly, having shed the blood of Jesus Christ (Acts 3:17; Luke 23:34) were therefore not guilty of murder; but manslaughter. But nevertheless, are still under the laws of the avenger of Blood, as they are both and at the same time guilty of being without the City of Refuge and attempting to enter again their Land and rule without the “death” / termination of the High Priest and the required ransom. [Numbers 35:32] Again, that ransom that answers to the Blood they shed must be the covering of the Passover Blood, as they have killed the Passover Lamb, but have not partaken of His Blood Covering.
Jesus, in the Wisdom of God, is not and can not be the High Priest of the Nation of Israel today as He is not after the order of Aaron who ministered with blood on behalf of Israel. [Hebrews 7:14 along with other related Scriptures] Jesus became the appointed High Priest of the New Man “saved”, that is to say justified, now in the ministry with Blood (as it relates to the “saved” in contact with a dead body) and will remain in that unique capacity until the end of the Great Tribulation/Jacob’s Trouble.
Israel will continue to be pursued by the Avenger of blood, that being historically the Gentiles and their Nations. The Gentile Nations having suffered the loss of God’s blessing in Israel’s refusal of being the faithful intermediate in Covenant with God. Thus then we may see also the Justness of God calling out a people from the Gentiles for His Name, since the Nation of Israel that He appointed for their blessing refused the call.
Satan, having just lost his heavenly place of authority over the Earth to that Nation of the New Man, being cast down to the earth, (Revelation 12:5,9 with Ephesians 2:15; Matthew 21:43; Acts 13:46, 15:46) he now pursues through the Anti-Christ vigorously his appointed role and authority as the Avenger of Blood. (Compare Isaiah 54:16)
The Anti-Christ, having on the one hand accomplished what none other has yet been able to do, (That is to facilitate an agreement establishing ancient boundaries and customs if not its ancient Covenant of Atonement through the Mosaic Law). While on the other hand being used by God to avenge the Blood of Jesus Christ and thwart the ever religious mind of rebellious Israel. Afterwards, for around 3 1/2 years will the Gentile Anti-Christ, the last king of Babylon, trample Jerusalem and the Nation of Israel under his feet. ”….two parts therein shall be cut off and die; but the third shall be left therein.” [Zechariah 13:8,9] Only then will Israel turn, “…and I will bring the third part through the fire and will refine them as silver is refined, and will try them as gold is tried: they shall call on my name and I will hear them: I will say, It is my people: and they shall say, The Lord is My God.” While under a far greater oppression than the Pharaoh of Egypt or Hitler of Germany and then, like Ester, will wholeheartedly fast and pray. Then only will God terminate the High Priest’s current ministry. Thereby effectively fulfilling the Law of the passing away of the current High Priest, who is now serving in the sanctuary of heavens in the ministry of the New Man. [Hebrews 7:25 Ephesians 2:15]Yahweh then sending Yahshua the High Priest after the order of Melchizedek for Israel in the promise of the New Covenant . [Hebrews 7&8 with Jeremiah 31:33; Revelation 5:1]
