ISAIAH’S END-TIME TIMELINE

Isaiah’s End-time Timeline Chapters 30-33

TRIBULATION TRAINING: ENDURING REBUKE BEFORE RESTORATION

Verses: Revelation 5, 3:10, Daniel 12:1; Jeremiah 30:7

Isaiah Chapters 30-33: These chapters in Isaiah represent unfulfilled future prophecy in the state and nature of things before, during and after the Tribulation period. Perfectly overlaying those times and events described in the Book of Revelation. All these unfulfilled prophecies of Isaiah can be correlated with the breaking of the 7 Seals by Jesus Christ, the Lamb of God, in the end time judgments. (Read Revelation chapter 5.)

The opening of the 7 Seals (with the interposing Trumpets and Vials) are a sketch of the whole period of the last days. (Within which are found the last 7 years of Daniel’s 70 weeks of 7 years) From the appointed time, God’s last days’ judgments strike on the earth. The Lamb opens the first seal, with the going forth of the Beast/anti-Christ (Revelation 6:1), and the 3 Seals following are but manifestations of his treachery and spoiling destruction. The breaking of the 5th and 6th Seals bring us to the catching up of those of the Woman’s man-child, the Church; the awake and faithful. Those who are kept from that which will come upon all the world, to try them, that dwell upon the earth. [Revelation 3:10 with 12:5] Kept also from the woes of the casting out of satan from the first heaven (Revelation 12) from where he now rules, down to the earth, from which point forward satan fully energizes the now incarnate anti-Christ quickly unto the height of world dominance. (Revelation 13) Then comes the persecuting of the remnant Church (Revelation 12:12-17) and sealing of God’s saints. (Revelation 7:1-8) Then also are the great disturbances and signs in the heavens and on the earth (Revelation 6:12-17, Matthew 24:29,30) that strike but a temporary fear in the wicked. Next comes the 7th seal and vials leading to the destruction of the Beast/anti-Christ in the Return of Jesus Christ. (Revelation 19) Following with the restoration of Israel and ending in the ushering in of the Millennial Kingdom of Jesus Christ. [Revelation 20]

Isaiah continues God’s rebuke of His people for trusting in the help of man, that is, flesh as opposed to spirit in Him. These prophecies have the end time, just before Jesus Christ’s return, in view. Who are the powers in the flesh in which the Jews trust at that time? Daniel chapters 7 through 12 give us the end time players. These being the ancient nations of Egypt and Assyria in their end time forms, who are involved again in the ancient iniquities of the Jews. To which we have allusion here in these chapters in that future Israel will make a covenant with the anti-Christ / the mighty Assyrian. He is the rod in God’s Hand, (Isaiah 10:5 & 30:31) who deceitfully turns against Israel in the last 3 ½ years of his reign. It appears that Israel becomes aware of that deceit somewhere along the middle of that covenant and makes an alliance with Egypt for protection. But Israel is sorely disappointed, in that the anti-Christ overwhelms Egypt. [Daniel 11, Ezekiel 29:6,7 30:10,11] See also Jeremiah chapters 40-44 in type for the end time, wherein the 2 Witnesses/Prophets will then stand in the place of Jeremiah. And the leaders of Israel at that time will refuse their witness, against any alliances. God’s revenge is declared in sudden fiery judgment on both parties, Israel and the anti-Christ. (As well as a continued punishment after death in the fires of the after-world. Matthew 25:14-41 with Isaiah 66:24.)

This time is the Tribulation period. It is during this time that the antichrist rises up, who shortly reigns in unprecedented power through the energy of satan. [Daniel 8:24,9:27, Revelation 13:2] Yet in the midst of ruin, that is to say, Jacob’s Trouble…. (“It is Jacob’s trouble; but he shall be delivered out of it.”…. “and at that time thy people shall be delivered, everyone that shall be found written in the book.” Jeremiah 30:7, Daniel 12:1) there shall be a remnant according to grace. See Romans 11. This is in accordance with the sealing of the Jews in Revelation 7:1-12.

Jesus Christ will appear thereafter, but not until after the appointed judgments of that time. And when He does…. although the shepherds of the world gather against the Lion He is not a bit concerned. “…though the heathen rage, and the nations imagine a vain thing, yet shall he have them in derision, and break them in pieces as a potter’s vessel; yet shall he sit as king on the holy hill of Zion.” Taken from Psalms 2, this ancient prophecy of the end of this Age is seen fulfilled in Revelation 19.

His appearing is after these judgments on Israel, on the nations and on the anti-Christ. [Joel 3:12] And then Israel will also finally discard their idols and willful refusal to listen to His Word, and acknowledge Him as Messiah. Isaiah 31:6“Turn ye unto him from whom the children of Israel have deeply revolted.” With “Blessed is he that cometh in the name of the Lord.” [Psalm 118:26]

Chapter 32 is a continuation of the last chapter, wherein… “The gathering up of the tares and binding them in bundles to burn (Matthew 13:40-42) has been accomplished. NOW…“Behold a king shall reign in righteousness, and princes shall rule in judgment. In that…he shall gather his wheat into the garner.” (Matthew 3:12) “…then shall the righteous wheat shine forth as the sun in the kingdom.” [Matthew 13:43Isaiah chapter 32 picks up with the Lamb’s investiture as He is now crowned King, having opened and administrated the 7 seals of age ending Judgment, (Revelation chapter 5 with first verse of chapter 6), and declared the consumption of God in the world. [Isaiah 10:22,23 28:22, Luke 19:27]

He now opens the book of the New Covenant unto restored Israel, pouring out His Spirit upon them. [Joel and Zechariah] “But this shall be the (new) covenant that I will make with the house of Israel: after those days (after the days of Jacob’s trouble), saith the Lord, I will put my law in their inward parts, and write it in their hearts; and will be their God, and they shall be my people. And they shall teach no more every man his neighbour,….saying… Know the Lord: for they shall all know me, form the least of them unto the greatest of them, saith the Lord: for I will forgive their iniquity, and I will remember their sin no more.” [Jeremiah 31:31-34]

NOW, taking His rightful place as King and Millennial Teacher of Israel, He is joined by His 12 resurrected Disciples, along with all the Harvest worthies, (Matthew 19:28) and faithfully patient surviving saints. [Revelation 14:12-16, Daniel 12:1-3, Matthew 24:46,47] These are chosen to sit on thrones and rule in righteous judgment with Him for a thousand years. This is in accordance with the prophetic words, “Blessed is he that waiteth, and cometh to the thousand three-hundred and five and thirty days. But go thou thy way till the end be: for thou shalt rest and stand in thy lot at the end of the days.” of Daniel 12: 12,13. These are those who withstood temptation and persecution of the anti-Christ and False Prophet who demanded worship or death. And then those who were martyred for faithfulness are promised by John, “Blessed and holy is he that hath part in the first resurrection.” [Revelation 20:4-6]

Isaiah Chapter 33: “Woe to thee that spoilest, and thou wast not spoiled; and dealest treacherously, and they dealt not treacherously with thee! Thou shalt be spoiled: and when thou shalt make an end to deal treacherously, they shall deal treacherously with thee.” Violence and treachery comes upon Israel/and the called out ones of God, by a wicked power, unprovoked, that had not tasted of defeat. This prophecy, in its end time most meaningful of applications, is of the anti-Christ arrayed against the Lord’s people. These then, by way of being here, are subject to him, who had not “…kept the word of His patience…” before the great hour of temptation. And so they are then subject to that temptation “….that will come upon the all the world, to try them that dwell upon the earth.” [Revelation 3:10]

It is to the Beast/anti-Christ at the height of his reign “…who was given unto him to continue forty and two months……and it was given unto him to make war with the saints, and to overcome them…” and it is to that part of the Church, bound to the earth, that the warnings come forth in the following verses. If any man have an ear, let him hear. He that leadeth into captivity shall go into captivity: he that killeth with the sword must be killed with sword. Here is the patience and the faith of the saints. These are subject to the great temptation, over the next 3 ½ years.

The book of Revelation chapter 13:1-10 (actually the entire chapter) exhorts these not to use force or resist with force. But they must faithfully endure patiently even unto death, the unprovoked onslaught of the great Persecutor of the Church/ the remaining seed of the Woman. [Revelation 12:13-17] This is in exact accordance with the next verse of Isaiah 33 verse 2, “O Lord, be gracious unto us; we have waited for thee….” No doubt this is the prayer of the waiting saints, looking for Him to come and be their salvation in this great time of 3 ½ years of concluding trouble. See also the warnings to the end time Church (the Woman of Revelation 12) of the Serpent, to the end time in Matthew 24:15-25 as it relates to the Jewish contingent in Israel, and in Matthew 24:32-51 as it relates to Christians. “….deceived…. offended….. And because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall wax cold.” Then ignited by the fear of God, reignited in their love of Christ, they turn whole-heartedly to His commandments. Not reviling, they will be blessed in their patient endurance.

ISAIAH 33: picking up in verse 3, these prophetic words have in view: The mounting of Jesus Christ upon white horse…and heaven opening…and in righteousness he proceeds to make war….with Trump sounding and the great voice of the Angel. “…saying to all the fowls that fly in the midst of the heaven, Come and gather yourselves together unto the supper of the great God; That ye may eat the flesh of kings, and the flesh of captains, and the flesh of mighty men …..And I saw the beast, and the kings of the earth, and their armies, gathered together to make war against him …..and the beast was taken, and with him the false prophet that wrought miracles before him, with which he deceived them that had received the mark of the beast, and them that worshipped his image, These both were cast alive in to a lake of fire burning with brimstone.” (Revelation 19 with Isaiah 33:10) “Now will I rise, saith the Lord; now will I be exalted; now will I lift up myself. Ye shall conceive chaff, ye shall bring forth stubble: your breath, as fire, shall devour you. And the people shall be as the burnings of lime: as thorns cut up shall they be burned in the fire.”

Then verse 17 says, “Thine eyes shall see the king in his beauty: they shall behold the land that is very far off….” This is possibly an allusion to the now fearfully startled Israelite/Jew who gets a view behind and above the King into the heavenly kingdom just above the earth. Where there are in His train a determined people; a called out people; the nation of the new man, gloriously arrayed in white. Certainly then a fearful looking people, speaking heavenly words unintelligible to their ear.

Now they recognize the foolishness of their Scribes and wise men who declared not the Wisdom of God but the precepts of men. (Seen in verse 18. That which Paul likely quoted in 1Corinthians 1:20.)

VERSE 22 & 23… the spoiler is spoiled.

VERSE 24…Rejoicing in His Salvation, forgiven for their great iniquities, partaking of the Holy Spirit, now walking in that sin “forgiven” life, they live in divine health during this the Millennial reign of Jesus Christ.

AS USUAL, RECORDED PROPHECY MOVES BACK AND FORTH IN TIME/AGES AND EVENTS.

Scripture moves back and forth from:

  1. The state of conditions and events leading up to last day judgments
  2. The actual times and events of those judgments
  3. To the Age of Peace and Justice after the great judgments of God.
