TESTING THE SPIRITS AND DOCTRINES

THE PURPOSE OF GOD IN CHRIST JESUS (Ephesians chapters 1-4:17)….EPH 3:7-11…4:13,14

“That henceforth be no more children, tossed to and fro, carried about with every wind of doctine, by the sleight of men, and cunning craftiness, whereby they lie in wait to deceive…” with verse 17,18.

John 8 (read) can give us some needed understanding in Christ’s explanation of the carnal man’s thinking due the darkness within.

Jesus declared unto the people in the ears of the Pharisees in verse 12 the deeper understanding, the meaning behind the event of what had just transpired in the women who was taken in adultery, …..that being “Then Jesus spake again unto them saying, “I am the light of the world: (not just the limited light of Israel as when they were led by it through the wilderness unto a new life) he that followeth Me shall not walk in the darkness, (upon their reason, their affections, and upon their conscience) but shall have the light of life (Jesus followers, then having light, beyond the law, aluminating their reasoning, affections, and conscience are led unto a greater life).

Vs13 The Pharisees therefore said unto Him, Thou bearest record of Thyself; Thy record is not true. Jesus answered and said unto them, Though I bear record of Myself, yet My record is true: for I know whence I came, and whither I go; but ye cannot tell whence I come, and whither I go.”…….”As He spake these words, many believed on Him. Then Jesus said unto those Jews which believed on Hiim, If ye continue in My lword, then are ye My disciples indeed; And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.:”

Then the Pharisees answered “We be Abraham’s seed and were never in bondage to any man: how sayest Thou, Ye shall be made free?”

Yes I know you are the seed of Abraham, but you are not the sons of Abraham. You are the sons of the World, sons of satan….you are his children, you live in the darkness of his nature, the darkness of your soul…without “light’ in your understanding, and you do the works of your father, satan. They argued that their Father was God… “Jesus said unto them, If God were your Father, ye would love Me: for I proceeded forth and came from God; nether came I of Myself, but He sent Me.

This tells us which person of the God-Head was incarnate: the Creator Son…

Read John1:1-14

it was not The Father come in the flesh as the Son… but the Father sending the Son in His purposes….as then John 1:1,2 would not of been written; “…and the Word was with God..”

Verse 14 “And the Word was made flesh,…”

Jesus Christ is the name of the Son of God who came in the flesh.

He became the Son of man. He was a man. And As a man He was a living soul (gen2:7)with a spirit and a body (2thes5:23).

Here accurately described by John and correctly comprehended by His follower, reveals the true purposes of God,….and is the foundation of Christianity….and the test of true “spirit/doctrine”… ”Hereby know ye the Spirit of God: every spirit that confessesth that Jesus Christ, is come in the flesh is of God: And every spirit that confesseth not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is not of God: and this is the spirit of antichrist, …”

It is the Holy Spirit’s direction that one may be received or rejected as a teacher/prophet, on the basis of who comprehends and confesses as doctrine, Jesus is come in the flesh, that is to say what understanding is behind the Words of Christ “…for I know whence I came, and whither I go….” It is on this basis that the spirits/prophets doctrines are to be tried.

Mark this: In that to confess that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh, but to teach He was but a mere good or great man…would not pass the test.

To confess that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh, and then to teach that He was/is the Father God manifest in the flesh is not to pass the test.

To confess that Jesus Christ came in the flesh as the Son of God but to teach He was not the Son of Man, composed of spirit, soul an body would not pass the test of 1jhon4:2 that He came in the flesh.

NO the test of spirit is critical to confessing the Truth,… that being: that the Son of God,… the Co-Creator of all things, existed with the Father from before Creation, Who was sent by the Father, and having become flesh, that is a Man with spirit, soul and body, formed by The Holy Spirit in the virgin womb of a women, born into the earth, not made or created, but as the Only Begotten Son of God / Son of Man, Who walked the earth in sinless perfection, Who willingly laid is life down as instructed by the Father, was Crucified unjustly by the murdering spirit of satan, Who’s Body went to the tomb, His spirit going back unto God Who gave it, and He Himself descended into Hades. Who there was judged by the Father unworthy of death, was therefore victoriously raised up from among the dead, and once again sits at His Fathers side. He overcoming sin and death became the Author of life from the dead for all believing mankind, who then having manifest Himself unto His disciples, and who having once received the Atonement promise of the gift of the Holy Spirit from the Father, became His power filled witnesses unto the World of One set by the Father way above Moses and the prophets…as the means to eternal life and eternal glory in His future Kingdom.

In Who’s death and resurrection satan and his followers are condemned eternally to the Lake of Fire.

This is what Jesus Christ knew and meant when He said: “….for I know from whence I came, and wither I go…”

This was the Purpose of God in Christ Jesus, the Truth of Scripture, and this understanding of His coming in the flesh, is the Test of the “spirit” for Truth.

The original council of the Father in regard to Jesus Christ will be accomplished in all these things.

Error on any of these points can be deadly….and is to fall short in the test.

The “light” of these truths are made the test of false or un-false doctrine.

Only by knowing and following Christ’s teaching will one have a true view of God.

By the Truth and means of God’s purposes for sending Christ some are offended and by the Truth some are softened and are drawn nigh to God.

AN OVERVIEW OF GOD’S PURPOSES IN CHRIST JESUS ….

B) Satan’s 1st Rebellion and the Chaos that followed Genesis1:2 God having

C) The earth restored and blessed. “The heavens and the earth which are

D) Satan enters and the consequence Gen3
E) Mankind dealt with on a whole Gen4-11:26 to Abraham
F) The Chosen and blessed People to promote the Kingdom of God in

The Earth….Israel rejecting God and Israel scattered Gen11:27-Mal4

G) The First Coming of Jesus Christ Micah 5:2 Zech9:9with roms15:8

“Now I say that Jesus Christ was a minister of the circumcision for

the truth of God, to confirm the promises made unto the fathers:”

H) The Kingdom again proclaimed to the Jews acts3:19,20, the

rejection again acts13:46mat20:43 then the Jews scattered

once again

H) The Kingdom in Abeyance. Heb2:8 “not yet” the mystery of

the Kingdom revealed in dispensation of mercy and grace

G) The Second Coming of Jesus Christ “the First Resurretion.”

The Day of the Lor. The Kingdom established and the King

F) The Chosen Nation recalled and blessed. Roms11:11-36 acts

E) Mankind dealt with as a whole acts 15:17
D) Satan bound and the consequences rev20:1-3
C) The Earth restored and blessed Isa 35 ect the Millennium
B) Satan’s Last Rebellion rev20:7-10 followed by the 2nd Resurrection

And the removal all things that offend rev20:11-15
