THE REVELATION OF DANIEL

The Revelation of Daniel Chapter 7

THE VISION OF THE 4 BEASTS

THE BIBLE WAS WRITTEN FOR ALL TIME…. especially the end time.

Read Daniel 7…. The chapter is a transition from the revelation of the Gentile Empires to the more focused point of prophecy, that of Israel’s future within the World’s scene. (This is seen in that in the next chapter the language in which it’s written in switches from the Gentile language to Hebrew.)

The scene of Daniel Chapter 7 is around the great sea; the Mediterranean. Out of the turmoil of that area will arise the last Beast Gentile Empire of the little horn and the 10 nation confederation. It is in the contemplation of the terribly diverse 4th beast that the scene became that of a great court of judgment. One where great thrones were being setup. Then the Ancient of days seems to descend into the Earth’s sphere and takes His place on the Throne. And the great inquest began with the then descending Lord, the Son of Man appearing. And that being for His investiture as King of the 5th and final Kingdom of this World. The scene’s opening presentation ceremony answers to John 5:22,27“The Father judgeth no man, but hath committed all judgment to the Son,” and “hath given Him authority to execute judgment also, because He is the Son of Man.”

The great assembly described by Daniel, in the heavens relating to this World, clearly corresponds chronologically with the opening events of Revelation chapters 4 & 5. (Read) After the Kingly investiture of the Great King of Kings, we have the great inquest beginning with the opening of the books. [Daniel 7:10] Then the judgments follow, that is to say the breaking of the Seals starting in Revelation chapter 6.

Seal 1 corresponds with the Anti-Christ going forth as the great conqueror. Possibly his first campaign being the conquering and submitting of the 3 powers/kings among the 10 that had initially opposed his rule (the lion, bear, and leopard).

Seal 2 certain world powers’ unsuccessful response.

Seal 3 the resulting catastrophe of the affected areas.

Seal 4 a second wave of certain world powers joining in the ferocious fray.

Seal 5 the worldwide persecution of the saints.

Seal 6 Christ’s intervention immediately after that Tribulation.

Seal 7 the vials’ final work ending with the destruction of the Anti-Christ and the return of Jesus Christ, the Son of Man.

“And there was given him dominion and glory and a kingdom, that all people, nations, and languages, should serve him: his dominion which shall not pass away and his kingdom that which shall not be destroyed.” [Daniel 7:14] The Angel further describes this time after the 4 kings, which shall arise out of the earth. “But the saints of the most High (places) shall take the kingdom, and possess the kingdom for ever, even for ever and ever.” [Daniel 7:18] These are those disciples, faithful to Jesus Christ who are raised up into heavenly places to rule. [Revelation 20:4; 1Corinthians 6:2,3; Ephesians 2:6] As opposed to those who are given the kingdom under the whole heaven. “the kingdom and dominion, and the greatness of the kingdom under the whole heaven, shall be given to the people of the saints of the most High places, whose kingdom, is an everlasting kingdom, and all dominions shall serve and obey him.” [Daniel 7:27]

Here for the first time in the development of revelation, the idea of a specific person, the Antichrist, is clearly presented, because here for the first time the entire complete span of the course of this World is expounded to its end. There are obvious and generally accepted comparisons to the subject matter revealed here in this chapter to the New Testament.

Our attention in this chapter and those following is guided towards the 4th Beast, diverse from them all, the worst of all, dreadful, and terrible and exceedingly strong. The main focus is upon this end time king, the chief culprit. He is the little horn. New compromising alliances in the pursuit of money and commerce power will drive the international environment that will set the stage for the Anti-Christ.

He has “eyes” which signify his superior insight and cunning intellect. His “mouth” great oratory skills, able to manipulate, he is the Anti-Christ of  1 John 2:18. He is the same beast John describes in Revelation 13:1-9, he has all the beastly characteristics of the other 3 preceding beasts, and his power, throne and great authority is from the dragon/satan.  He makes war with the saints…. overcomes and wears out the saints….. forty and two months.

He is Paul’s wicked man of sinof 2 Thessalonians 2, the resurrected “Beast” that “ascends out of the bottomless pit,” and slays the “two Witnesses” of Christ. [Revelation 11:7,3] He is that mysterious person, of whom it is said that he once “was” on this earth, but “is not” now, yet “shall ascend out of the abyss”,be present”, the “son of perdition”…. whom “the Lord Jesus shall slay with the spirit of His mouth, and destroy with the brightness of His coming.” [Thessalonians 2: 1-12] He is described again as “the eighth” in Revelation 17:11, sitting “in the Temple of God” in Jerusalem, “showing himself that he is God,” but is a “Man”the number of his name 666. [Revelation 13:18]

He and his confederate 10 horns are the destroyers of Rome (Revelation 17: 12-18), and whose last campaign, following Rome’s destruction, is his invasion of the Holy Land, where he comes to his end. [Daniel 11:40-45; Revelations 19:11-2l]

*There is something to be said about the even worse abomination to God, than corrupted Christianity. See for example, the Samaritans of old in 2 Kings 17. That is to say the absolute rejection of God and His Christ, and that with the acceptance of another completely in His place. And that is exactly the great abomination that brings the entire end time to its head. It is that exact condition that brings the footstool (Acts2:33-35) to the place where Christ will finally crush. It is the final condition of the time, times and half. It is not the mixture of Christianity with the pagan idols that brings the setting of the throne of the great assize, but the rise of the Anti-Christ, Anti-God, in the greatest acts and words of blasphemy ever seen upon the earth. Along with the subsequent willful alliance of the World to the heart of those darker and darker moments ending in the flames of fire. Willful total rejection of God is the sin of the first and last 3 ½ years. This is the heart condition upon the earth to which all prophecy speaks and warns, that of the final state prerequisite in Christ’s appointed judgments upon the entire earth, ending in the total destruction of the 4th and final Beastly kingdom.

**It is then that the Kingdom promised shall be given to the people of the saints of the Most High. To this we may rightly observe Scripture as meaning to the “Church” of Jesus Christ, that is to say the Seed of Abraham.

And who are these but the Jews and Gentiles who have kept the faith of Jesus Christ. First Jewish disciples who gathered together on the day of Pentecost, and then those Jews who heard their witness, that they were murderers, and saw the truth, and repented. They were to be a part of an old promise, that was rightly the descendants of Abraham, who the nation as a whole lost as a result of their rejection of the Christ. Now these remnant Jews are of that Kingdom promised. These are to be the saints of the most high places, who have a place/portion in Jesus Christ (Ephesians 2:6) to which, one by one, the Gentiles would be added. But the nation of Israel, in general, was cut off of that tree, and lost that heavenly grant, sphere, place of promise, and are limited to the earthly sphere in the Millennial Kingdom of Jesus Christ.

***Can there be any conclusions that can be asserted about the different periods related in Jeremiah and the prophets with the presence of Israel now in the land although it is not yet the time of these things? That is to say that there was a specific time allotted to Servitude, then Captivity, then Desolations. That is to say, that the type of what we see today is the fulfilling of the days of Servitude as they move back into the land over this last generation. Which speaks to Nehemiah’s days of restoration, but as Haggai declared, it is not yet the time of rebuilding the Temple. At which time, when this begins anew, we can conclude that the days like unto Ezra and Zerubbabel are upon them. And finally, then shortly shall be the end of the Desolations prophesied by Daniel. In other words, surely the clear prophetic understanding of the current repopulating of the Land (and the subsequent rebuilding of the 3rd Temple) can be understood in the example of Scripture set before us in the joint history of Daniel, Esther, Nehemiah, and Ezra.
