ISAIAH’S END-TIME TIMELINE

Isaiah’s End-time Timeline Chapters 58-59

ACCORDING TO THEIR DEEDS, HE WILL REPAY

Acts 13:46, 15:14, Hebrews 7:11, Zechariah 12:9, 14:3, Romans 11:26

The 58th Chapter is a continued rebuke and exhortation to the religious Jews who are described as hypocritical, covetous and oppressive. To this state of character, is naturally assigned the time of Isaiah and then also to the time of the Lord who characterizes them similarly in Matthew 23. But ultimately this chapter is the continued description of the general character of the Jew reflected in those who are occupying Israel in the last days. A characterization that also will describe the leavened, sleepy and apostate Church of Christendom in these last days. See Matthew 13:33, 24:12,13; Luke 21:34-36, and take 2 Timothy 3, or 2 Peter 2, or Jude for examples.

Isaiah 58:11 is an illusion to the faithful at the first resurrection. In Verse 13, the Sabbath keeping, for the discerning and faithful Christian, has in view the 7th Millennial rest, a rest yet to come for His people. [Hebrews 4:9]

The repairing of the breach is the further word of confirmation to the future Divine intervention in the ascendency of the people and nation of Israel in the restored land of Israel. From which its people are promised; that intermediary position, as the priests of God upon the earth. Which fulfills that purpose and promise of God to Abraham; in their having the preeminence in the Earth and bringing the blessing of Him to the Gentile nations in the Millennial earth. [Isaiah 60:11-17]

The 59th chapter of Isaiah: Seeing Jesus Christ in the fullness of His Calling. The 59th chapter predicts the wicked condition and judgments of the last day Jew until their repentance and restoration. Wherein God first declares, by way of explanation, to those who may hear: He is not deaf nor has His power been lessened, but because of their iniquities, that culminated in their rejection of their Messiah, Jesus Christ, God’s face and hearing has been justly turned from them. (As now, as a result, He has turned primarily to the Gentiles in this age, with whom there is another, and Newer Covenant; which was appointed under the new Priesthood; in this Newer Covenant. Then allowing and making provision for this current Age of mercy and grace extended to them, “…to take out of them a people for this name.” [Acts 15:14, 13:46, with 2 Corinthians 5:18] “…reconciling the world to himself, not imputing their trespasses to them.”)

That rejection of Him, by the Jews, to whom He came, was as the King and High Priest after the order of Melchizedek. [Psalm 110:4 with Hebrews 6:20; READ] The change of priesthood was of necessity, for under the Levitical priesthood, perfection could not be obtained. [Hebrews 7:11] For under the order of the Levitical priesthood, “… the people received the law” ….and thus…(vs12)… “For the priesthood being changed, there is made of necessity a change also of the law…. (then verses 18-19) For there is verily a disannulling of the commandment going before for the weakness and the unprofitableness thereof. For the law made nothing perfect, but the bringing in of a better hope did; by the which we draw nigh unto God.”

The author of Hebrews going on to explain, in verses 20-22, that a high priest must be swore in….and that by man. But it was God who swore Jesus Christ into office and that after the order of Melchizedek; (the anti-type of the ancient King and Priest of Salem) and that office forever. The Anti-type now is before God and continually is serving Him in the capacity and intermediary office of the High Priest of the New Covenant.

And so it is to that Isaiah 59:2-8 eludes to the rejection of God’s Messiah and then takes us immediately from the great rejection of Jesus Christ to last days’ Judgments alluded to in the next verses, without mention of the last 2000 years of this Age. Nor does the Holy Spirit make mention in Isaiah 59 of that designated time and great preceeding event that occurs in the heavens that must be realized before the last days’ judgments of seals may be opened. Of that time, and great preceedings, the Holy Spirit picks up and describes through John for us in Revelation chapter 4. This is very near the end of this current Age; that necessary event; is the Lamb’s investiture… (That time of which is a ceremony in which honors or rank are formally conferred on a particular person.) ….as King of kings “of Salem.”

It is that one week of years which the prophesied events of Daniel must play out. [Daniel 7-11] That which comprises the last 7 years before Jesus Christ’s manifest return, as King of this, His Kingdom, and as Israel’s manifest Redeemer. The past and future proclaimed by Daniel and by John reveal within those last 7 years that the Wild Beast is satan’s king of the earth, set up as the great antagonist to the Lord Jesus Christ.

That rejection of Him, by the Jews, resulted in His ascension and current Ministry. Which Isaiah 59 prophetically declares the Lord’s having fulfilled that portion of the High Priest’s duties (a people brought out from the Gentiles for His Name), as the door will then be closing on this current age, as He is the only One found worthy to take up the justice and vengeance of God. He prepares to open the seals and take up the retribution as the rejected King; putting on His now long awaited and now conferred vestiture / the armor of vengeance, the breastplate of righteousness. (As now the days of mercy and grace near their close, the new covenant imprecation of rejection [Hebrews 10:26-31 with Matthew 7:21-27] in conjunction with that of the Noahatic covenant justice [Isaiah 59:3,7 with Genesis 9:5,6] now implemented in the one and re-instituted in the other; together proceed.) As there is no one, under these spiritual circumstances, to stand in the gap (Isaiah 59:16) as the Mosaic intermediary structure has been long abolished and now the intermediary of the Newer Covenant has fulfilled His Calling as such. And the salt and light of the Man-Child taken from the earth, therefore there is no one qualified to stand in the gap. And therefore the judgment of God’s Wrath shall proceed exponentially, and “According to their deeds, accordingly he will repay, fury to his adversaries, recompense to his enemies…” [Isaiah 59:18]

We then arrive at the last half of the 7 year period and the outpouring of His wrath upon the nations of the earth and the kingdom of the Anti-Christ to the destruction of them both. And included in those judgments is the fulfilling of the last days’ sentence of Jacob’s Trouble (Jeremiah 30:7) upon Israel. The concluding 7 severe judgments aimed at God’s adversaries and enemies (Isaiah 59:18) being described for us in the 7 vials of Revelation 16. Where we are comparing Scripture with Scripture; Isaiah’s unfulfilled words of prophecy with those likewise of John in Revelation, in that in the 5th vial of Revelation 10, we see its being directed on the seat/throne of the Anti-Christ. [Revelation 2:13 with 13:2 with 2 Thessalonians 2:4 READ] This being understood to be that very place and event of the great abomination of desolation, mentioned by Daniel, (Daniel 9:27 and 12:11) and confirmed by Jesus. [Matthew 24:15] In which he has then set up his throne and image unmistakably in that great city Jerusalem. (In its current state, like the Jews themselves, likened unto Sodom/Egypt. See Revelation 11:8.

So it is the exact very conditions of Isaiah 59, verses 9, 10 of that predicted and seen in the last days’ 5th vial of judgment, (Revelation 16:10) both in the spiritual and literal darkness upon Israel in the last hours. These vials are appointed unto those who have the “mark” of the Beast. See 16:2. Undoubtedly some of those who have taken the mark to save their lives, as well as true sympathizers/worshippers (possibly the adversaries of God compared to the enemies of God of Isaiah; 59:18) and upon the Beast’s seat/throne and his kingdom. This then, a direct assailment upon the blasphemous throne of the Beast/satan directly from the Throne of the first heavens. An assailant from which he is unable to protect himself or his worshippers .“….his kingdom was (became) full of darkness..”

Contrast that with the glorious Throne (Matthew 25:30,31) and light of the Kingdom of Christ upon the earth. “The light of the moon shall be as the light of the sun, and the light of the sun shall be sevenfold as the light of seven days, in the day that the Lord healeth the breach of His people, and bindeth up the stoke of their wound…” [Isaiah 30:26]

Wherein, in Revelation 16:1, we further discover that neither they, nor the World in general shall repent, but rather curse God. (See Job 2:9) But the elect of Israel see in these events God’s righteousness and acknowledge their sins. We see this; their last day’s sorrow expressed in these prophetic words of Isaiah 59:9-15 and verse19a. These are not those elect Jews that fled at the warning at the first from the dragon. (Be it by the written Word of the prophets or spoken Word of the 2 Witnesses. Revelation 3:11) These are supernaturally shielded and protected like those of Goshen of the past for the entire 3 ½ years of Jacob’s Trouble. [Exodus 10:21-23, Rev12:13-17, Isaiah 65:13,14]

Here in Isaiah 59:19b…. “When the enemy shall come in like a flood…” we have the corresponding event as the result of the pouring out of vial 6, [Revelation 16:12-16] “And he gathered them together into a place called….Armageddon. It is then, after that gathering, that the 7th vial, and last of all judgments, is poured out. And the great earthquake “…such as were not since men were upon the earth….And the great city (Jerusalem Zechariah 14:4, Isiah 29:6, 2:12-17) was divided into three parts, and the cities of the nations fell: and great Babylon came into remembrance before God, (after/at the very end of the great Tribulation) to give unto her the cup of the wine of the fierceness of his wrath. It is the fierceness of his wrath here that corresponds with that of Revelation 19:15,16,19-21 and Isaiah 59:18,19, 13:19-22 14:22,23 and Zechariah 12:9, 14:3. And every island fled away, and the mountains were not found. And there fell upon men a great hail out of heaven, every stone about the weight of a talent: and men blasphemed God because of the plague of the hail: for the plague thereof was exceeding great.”

Then Isaiah 59:20,21 says, “And the Redeemer will come to Zion and unto them that turn from transgression in Jacob…” With Romans 11:26“And so all Israel shall be saved: as it is written, there shall come out of Sion the Deliverer, and shall turn away ungodliness form Jacob.” He shall restore them and pour out His Spirit upon them and their seed and their seeds seed forever.
