THE REVELATION OF DANIEL

The Revelation of Daniel Chapter 12

TYING DANIEL 12 TO THE BOOK OF REVELATION

Wonderfully instructive is the understanding as to how the consecutive end time prophecies/visions of Daniel each connect to the preceding vision or visions at some point. Then after adding to, or introducing new features, it proceeds to the same terminus, that of the end of this Age. Being so instructed we then also can better comprehend John’s end time visions in the Book of Revelation. It is in Daniel Chapter 2 that Gentile powers over the earth are laid out before us with the end being the earth filled with the Stone. Chapter 7 begins or picks up towards the end of the Gentile powers’ image and ends with the Son of Man and the saints being given the Kingdom. Chapter 8 connects the last Gentile king historically with the ancient Greek empire and then ends with him being overcome by the Prince of princes. Chapter 9 starts at the ancient time of the decree to rebuild the city of Jerusalem and ends at the time of the final judgments of Israel and the Anti-Christ. Chapter 11 begins again with the ancient days of Persia and Greece and passes on through time to the rise of the Anti-Christ. These are the days of Israel’s final judgments, and it ends with the end of the Anti-Christ.

Chapter 12 turns back but a short time in that end time, and then proceeds to the final great deliverance and the first resurrection.

THE PATTERN SEEN IN THE BOOK OF REVELATION

It is to the understanding of this Scriptural pattern in end time prophecy we have endeavored to bring to light the chronology and fullness of the predicted occurrences.

*In the Book of Revelation, Chapters 1-3 is the introduction of the revelation of things to come to pass with a view  towards His 2nd coming. [Revelation 1:7] And then of the overcomers in the church receiving their inheritance in the ruling with Christ in His Kingdom.

*Next, the 7 seals that begin at His investiture as King of kings carry through the events of Chapter 7. That is to say after the great multitude who come out of the Tribulation are gathered up into the clouds/first heaven.

*The 7 Trumpets begin also at the time of the Lamb’s investiture and are not completed until the Kingdom becomes the Kingdom of God. [Revelation 11:15]

*Revelation Chapters 12-14 begin with and relate the birth of the man-child being caught away to the throne, (who are appointed to reign with Christ) to a certain point after His investiture. At which time then satan is cast out of the first heaven down to the earth, when he then brings up the Anti-Christ from the Pit in his authority. [Revelation Chapter 13] Ending with the destruction of the Anti-Christ in Revelation 14:19,20.

These 3 chapters are a parenthetical insertion between Revelation 11:15 & 15:1.

*Revelation Chapter 15 picks up in the period of the last Trumpet of chapter 11:19. This being the same event of 15:1 and the 7 last plagues/vials declared, then poured out in Chapter 16, ending with the battle of Armageddon and the destruction of the city of Babylon.

*Chapter 17 turns back to the beginning of the reign of terror over the World, with the destruction of the city of Rome and pretentious Christianity.

*Chapter 18 returns to the destruction of the Anti-Christ’s city, Babylon, at the end of his reign.

*Chapters 19-20:6 picks up with the first fruits and Harvest gatherings of the first resurrection now together raised up into the first heavens with the Bridegroom. And ends His investiture as King of Kings in the destruction of His enemies and the establishing of the thrones of His Bride in His Kingdom. That being that of the first heavens above and the earth below. Thus, as the Book of Daniel,  the visions of John are so that they connect.  Though they start at different points, cover some of the same events, giving new and more detailed information, but all then proceed to that same climactic point.

Daniel Chapters 12:1-4: “And at that time shall Michael stand up, the great prince which standeth for the children of thy people: and there shall be a time of trouble, such as never was since there was a nation even to that same time: and at that time thy people shall be delivered, every one that shall be found written in the book. And many of them that sleep in the dust of the earth shall awake, some to everlasting life, and some to shame and everlasting contempt. And they that be wise shall shine as the brightness of the firmament; and they that turn many to righteousness as the stars forever and ever. But thou, O Daniel, shut up the words, and seal the book, even to the time of the end: many shall run to and fro, and knowledge shall be increased.”

“…this one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before, I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus.” [Philippians 3:13-14]

Paul had set aside all great achievements and knowledge of this World, (and its gain and glory) for that most excellent knowledge and prize of Christ Jesus the Lord. That is to say, “….that I might know Him, and the power of His resurrection….” That is to say by entering into the fellowship of His sufferings, by and in the power of Christ’s resurrection. And thereby serving Him and denying any self-promoting, and that faithfully until the day I die, my hope is in then having been,“….made conformable unto his death; if by any means I might attain unto the (first out) resurrection of (from among) the dead.”

The deliverance will be miraculous,“At that time,” which is just before Israel is delivered. And “many shall awake (literally, be separated) out from among the sleepers in the earth-dust; these (who awake at that time) shall be unto everlasting life, but those (who do not awake at that time) shall be unto shame and everlasting contempt.” [Daniel 12:2] A simultaneous resurrection of all mankind, good and bad, is not taught in the Scriptures. It is the resurrection of all holy, and of Israel’s holy dead that are here prophesied of. It is the “First Resurrection”; (Revelation 20:3-6) the “out-resurrection”; (Philippians 3:11) the hour when Old and New Testament saints are together “made perfect”. Both are raised from their graves by the voice of the Son of God.  [Hebrews 11:35, 40]

It is the time-point of the Second Coming for the salvation of the righteous and destruction of the wicked. Even as at the one time-point Noah and his family entered the Ark, and the rain began to fall and the ungodly perished in the Flood. So great is this greatest of all time-points in the history of the world. The time being when the Jews are restored, and Gentile politics and power are destroyed, and the holy dead are ‘waked’ from their graves. The Resurrection of the Saints out of Hades (from the intermediate place of the dead) is placed at no other Age than the close of the “Tribulation Great”, the end of the Times of the Gentiles.

That exclusive reward then essentially being the same described in Daniel 12. Daniel and Paul had this yearning heart for understanding in the knowledge of God. “Then said he unto me, Fear not, Daniel: for from the first day that thou didst set thine heart to understand, and to chasten thyself before thy God, thy words were heard, and I am come for thy words….. But the prince of  the kingdom of Persia with stood me…..but lo, Michael….came to help me….”

What was the message to be given Daniel that the powers of satan resisted so greatly for 21 days before Michael intervened? It was the “word of life” imparted  skill and understanding in the knowledge of “…what shall befall thy people in the latter days….”  It was an exposé of not only the last days but an unveiling of the realities of the heavenly unseen forces and conflict therein. That which precipitated Michael’s direct involvement was that great resistance by the forces of satan to a revelation message granted to a beloved prophet that would bring more of the realities of the word of life and spiritual conflict into the fanciful World. It was a moment of spiritual “knowledge”  key to all end time overcoming knowledge, to be increased like never before. A word spoken out of time…..and when it is time, so will the intense battle resume. The resistance will be great to discover in them a right knowledge of God’s revelations.

“And there was (arose) war in (first) heaven: Michael and his angels fought against the dragon; and the dragon fought and his angels. And prevailed not; neither was their place found any more in heaven.” [Revelation 12:7,8]

It is in the future, when the Jews will be reinstituting the Temple sacrifices, that great persecution will come against Christians and followers of Christ in the Land. In that day, Christians will be perceived as threats to the peace of the Jews, who will have recently acquired religious rites in the reinstitution of the Mosaic sacrifices. [Daniel 9:27, John 5:43, Isaiah 66:1-5, Revelation 11:1-3] The four winds of judgment had been held back. [Revelation 7:1-3] The ministry of the Two Witnesses accomplished Daniel 12:1b. That is to say the 144,000 zealous Israelites have now been sealed. (Although not exempted from great trial.)

Jeremiah had in view the Daniel 12:1 event… “Alas, for the day is great, so great that none is like it; it is the time of Jacob’s trouble but he shall be saved out of it.”  As did John. [Jeremiah 30:7, Revelation 7:4-8]  And Michael shall stand again….when “knowledge (in Israel of Jesus Christ) shall be increased.” That is to say when the Two Prophets of God, in the “resurrection” power of Jesus crucified (who will empower them) will for 42 months in supernatural skill reveal the long hidden knowledge of the true Messiah to Israel in opposition to the those who made the covenant with Anti-Christ.

It is then that these Two will encounter the great opposition of the political and religious powers of the seen and unseen world in heaven just above this earth. Just as in the days of Daniel when the dark angelic forces greatly resisted in the heavenly realm. But now satan himself and all his principalities will rise up and wage heavenly war. And satan and his angels will be defeated, and in rage cast forever out, from the heavens associated with this world, down to the earth. [Isaiah 24:21] As no place will then be found above for him, for those heavens are now made wholly Christ’s. It is the time of His investiture (Revelation 4 & 5) passing on now to the events of Chapter 12. Wherein the heavens are now to be occupied with the first-fruits man-child of Revelation 12:5 in fulfillment of Revelation 3:7-10.

It is now that on the earth “there shall be a time of trouble, such as never was since there was a nation.” [Daniel 12:1] The last 3 ½ years of Daniel’s 70th week now begins. All is foretold and unfolds in detail in Revelation Chapters 12-20. Wherein the destiny of the Jews in the time of the End are seen, when the “mystery of God” foreshown to Daniel and the prophets concerning Israel’s world, is finally completed. It is The last 1/2 of the 70th Week.

The Scenes in Jerusalem under the Antichrist, enter at 11:1, and continue with other events, through the last 1,260 days.  All from Chapters 12:2 to 20:1, this is the last 1,260, including the sounding of the seventh trumpet, and the seven vials. [Revelation 16] (There are two periods of time to note mentioned beyond that period in Daniel 12:11-12. 30 days and an additional 45 days, of which is said that blessed are those survivors who wait for….what these days represent and their events are here untold.)

Then those, of that first conversion, and faithful Jews, and Christians that are remaining in Jerusalem will flee into the wilderness. [Matthew 24 & Revelation 12:6] Satan will make war on and pursue the saints, both in Israel and everywhere, and overcome them. That is to say physically, as they are commanded by Jesus Christ not to take up the sword to defend themselves. They are to patiently endure, even unto death. [Revelation 13:7 with Chapter 14:12 & Chapter 7 verses 4-8 with 9-14]

Satan, having obtained the keys to the Abyss in that war in the heavens of Chapter 12 and seen in Revelation 9:1, shall then release from the bowels of the earth its wicked forces upon man. He will have entered into the man bound for perdition. And grants him his throne upon the earth, his powers and skills over all his remaining kingdom. [Revelation 13:1-2] It is then that the Anti-Christ will be manifest, and in the serpent’s power come up against the Two Witnesses of Jesus Christ in Jerusalem and kill them. For 42 months they have ministered the message of the Messiah, the Lion of the Tribe of Judah, in great irresistible power. They have successfully resisted all the Gentile powers with supernatural abilities, destroying their enemies and thwarting their consolidated efforts. And now they lay dead upon the streets of Jerusalem. This being the great attempt by satan and the Anti-Christ to discredit their message.  He then, in open defiance of their message and his alliance with those Jews he had treacherously covenanted with 3 ½ yrs before, now violently throws off his back bastard Christianity. He now enters into and sets himself up upon that sacred place and declares himself god.

Apostasy has followed Apostasy. That of Christendom has followed that of Judaism. The world controlling the Church, false teaching, false Messiahs, false culture and civilization, crime, and ungodliness universal. The great apostasy in Christendom shall culminate in the Antichrist, and bring the crisis of  the “Great Tribulation”. The world, still unconverted to the end “lying in the Wicked One.” The days of the Gentiles reaches it height.
